    Donaldson will walk as soon as he becomes an FA. I think the Vernon deal has soured ownership on longer term deals permanently. Especially given that he's around 30 right now. If Vladdy becomes what we hope he will, I can see the Jays maybe offering him a long term deal, as he'd be what... Mid-20's? But those are the only type of scenarios i see playing out. It's gonna be all about value and flexibility. Get used to it.

    He won't be in the A unless he gets injured and needs a conditioning stint. The team isn't going to make a playoff run this season. Everyone knows that (or should know that). It's about giving the core playing time, and having them develop. Andersen has been terrible... And there is cause for concern... But this is a last place team. Of course there are going to be problems. Hopefully, he can turn it around... But it's not all on him. This team needs upgrades to the D... And that will come.

    Go Cubs... Because I like how they built their team. Tremendous young talent... Then augment with veteran stars and leadership. It's what I had hoped the Jays would've done... But the patience wasn't there.

    If it worked and TBay had success, teams would consider adapting... Just like the Royals with their pen. Got real cool, real fast to get a dominant pen. I know this is different as it's a complete paradigm shift, but winning makes people open their eyes.

    How about getting rid of starters altogether. Have a bunch of relievers throwing 2-3 innings every 2-3 days. No one goes more than once through an order in a game.
