    I think we'll be exactly where we have been the past couple of seasons (135-145), which puts you in that range. So again...if payroll isn't really moving, is Bautista, as a DH, really the best way to spend $20M? I'd be shocked if he returns.

    Did he actually come out with a number? I haven't heard anything. AA used to say that he had full support from Rogers too but we all knew there were "payroll parameters". Part of Shapiro's job is to take all heat off of ownership.

    I think I'll be adding him to my ignore list as well. It was fun when it started, but now this re-todd shtick is just flat out annoying.

    He didn't give up football the year the jays signed him. That's the point. He was drafted in 2012 and didn't give up football until the end if the 2014 baseball season... Meaning his first year focusing only on baseball was 2015. Next time you want to tell everyone how awesome you are, do your research first.

    Have to agree here. Driving under the influence is a scumbag move. If you want to kill yourself, that's your business... But doing something that knowingly endangers others is boneheaded beyond boneheaded. They're dead... And that's terrible... But I'm not going to forgive the risk he took with other people's lives just because he paid the price with his own (and two others).

    Regardless. It sounds like they were all likely drinking together... So all of them should've known that no one was in a good position to be driving. Totally avoidable tragedy. What a shame.
