They already did that with Osuna. They're looking to do that with Donaldson (yes, he's gonna be a FA but they f***ed that whole thing up), and it's already been speculated that the Jays area open to trading Stroman right now. Bad idea or not, this is what the reality seems to be.
My point is that tercet has gone full Todd as it pertains to SRF. Was he s*** today? You bet. But his disdain has been going on for a long time, even with SRF's strong play in AAA this season.
You can handyman him all you want but he's not wrong about averages going down. Sure, they don't mean what they used to... But it just shows that the philosophy towards hitting had changed a lot. Walk, strikeout, homerun.
Tellez's OPS is up to .794 for the season now.
Forrest Wall's OPS is at .828 in New Hampshire.
Samad Taylor is having a strong finish to the season with a .982 OPS in August.
