It's true though. If you're gonna compare baseball to hockey... You can make a ton of mistakes not touching the puck, like poor coverage. It's not just coughing up the puck like bobbling a grounder.

You need to give teams a full off-season to plan their rosters. No one in the NL has a Morales style player (all bat, no field). You need give them fair notice and allow them to chase down career DH's to add to their roster.

He an excellent puck mover and a his blunders are bad. Problem is, people take one side or the other and won't accept that Gardiner is what he is. You're gonna get some great puck movement but when he makes a mistake, it's bad. He can be both good and bad, folks.

Marner's agent has come out publicly to state that the Leafs have been lowballing Marner with offers. Sounds like this negotiation could get a tad nasty.

Pretty sure Marleau has a NMC. I don't see him agreeing to a trade, unless it's to somewhere he really wants to go or it's a serious contender. I don't think Ottawa is either.

Happy for the Pats. I get why everyone wants NE to fail, but I respect Dynasties. When you think back to teams of decades gone by (in all sports) one often remembers the powerhouses of that time. In 30 years people will look back fondly on these Patriot teams and remember how dominant they were.

I don't think those two were in the same league prospect-wise. Very highly regarded, but a notch below imo.
