Caissie doesn't turn 18 until next month. This FO seems to really like the 'young for the draft class' type I'm noticing.

Let's say, for arguments sake, that the Jays decide to give Martin #2 money. $7.8M. In that instance, it would leave them about $2.4M for rounds 2-5 (that includes the 5% overage). So, they could theoretically give $1.6m fo the #42nd pick, $790K for the 77th...and then they'd need to sign a couple of $5K guys in round 4 and 5.

He can go back and get drafted as a senior. Boras would convince him to do that out of spite then spend the next 12 months bad mouthing the Blue Jays for being a cheap large market team.

I'm curious how college guys that were probably going to be in the 4th-7th round range react to teams offering them below slot to take them in round 4 or 5 with a "take it or get offered $20K tomorrow" stance.
