    No... But you gotta try. It's a pretty stupid rule. Who does this serve? Player X signs with Team Y... But Team Z just steps in and says, Thank you for doing the leg work with the contract, Team Y, and f*** you Player X...I don't care where you intended to play, you're playing here now.

    They would both be great first in this lineup. Doubtful that the Phillies would trade Schwarber right after signing him though. Votto would be more of a deadline luxury acquisition and would depend on what our team looks like in July (what other holes need to be plugged that would be higher priority)

    We was in the 280s in October on 2020. Said he lost 40+ pounds last offseason and he came to camp at 241 if memory serves. I guess he added another 20 pounds either in the offseason or during the 2021 season (gradually so it wasn't noticeable) then lost it again this offseason to get back to 239. I agree that weight isn't the perfect indicator, cause muscle weighs more... And kudos to him for putting in the offseason work. Hopefully in the coming years we'll see a bit more definition. But that takes time.
