All this about Rogers getting bad rep, isn't it the case of "there's no such thing as bad PR?" Based on the media outlets that they owned and the services they provide, it's not like consumers are going to unsubscribe or anything is it? I may be talking out of my ass here as I don't live in TO. Here in the US, if I am pissed at my cell carrier or cable company, there are very limited options and in most cases, people stick with it...
Rogers is probably trusting on Shapiro not only not screwing up from '15 but build upon it and the fans will still come regardless of how they feel about ownership... in other words, they are counting on it all depends on the product on the field...
