  1. I guess someone needed to get hurt on day one since Reyes isn't around to do that anymore.
  2. At least Jose's arm is back.
  3. "In the past, that would've been a weak groundball to the 2nd for an out" Yeah, Pat... it's not like that was a weak grounder to 2nd or anything...
  4. That pitch tracker color scheme is so aesthetically unappealing. Yikes.
  5. f***. I mean, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I liked the guy or his constant bitching and headhunting but no one deserves to have this happen. He was a young guy with extreme talent and was definitely taken from us far too soon. A truly horrible day for baseball. RIP Yordano.
  6. Meh. I'm not too concerned. Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman hate each other yet they ran a successful TV show and brand for over a decade. Same with Penn Jillette and Teller and their circus act. Shaq and Kobe hated each other and stuck it out for 3 championships.
  7. Oh man, you should've heard Matt Vasgersian on the international feed. He literally blew his load on air.
  8. OMG RAJAI THAT'S MY FORMER BLUE JAY Bahahahahaha I jinxed the Cubs so bad with that Family Feud gif.

  10. Kris Bryant is built like Eric Hinskie
  11. Did Smoak just... hold up... on a breaking ball?!?! O_O
  12. ...Is that Nav sitting behind the plate? Right behind the Jays logo on the backstop beside the grandma in the red jersey.
  13. Drip drip drip.
  14. Alright, time to make up for your Juan Rivera-esque defense right now, Jose.
  15. This guy's an athlete.
  16. Puts tinfoil hat on We did this whole beanball charade as an elaborate plan to do the impossible and get Smoak on base since we knew he was due up first and would thus be in the line of fire for a retaliatory HBP if Happ beaned someone in the previous half of the inning and JD getting hit made the perfect excuse and allowed us to demonstrate our intent so they knew what the Yankees needed to do next... plunk Smoak.
  17. Don't really know what to say. Haven't felt this stunned and saddened by an active pro sports player's death since Sean Taylor way back. Seeing the Redskins line up with 10 men on the field on their first defensive play since his death gets me everytime. Rest in Peace, Jose. You were one of the brightest personalities and most electrifying talents we had seen from a pitcher in a while. The dude was just electric and my favorite young pitcher in the game. Words fail me to describe how tragic this is.
  18. That's actually impressive. I can't remember the last time I saw a ball booted by an infielder and still have enough inertia to make it all the way to the outfield wall.
  19. No, Gibby this is not rock bottom. Rock bottom is having your rotation being Doc surround by 4 guys we randomly grabbed hanging around Union Station and having Josh Phelps as your DH. Clearly you weren't around back then... oh, wait, you were.
  20. I've been watching baseball for 15 years and other than the old Corey Patterson-Rajai Davis outfield and the entire 2013 team (especially Emilio and JPA)... I can't think of a worse defensive performance I've ever seen from the Jays than tonight.
  21. If you replace "usually followed by epic downpours of heavy rain" with "constantly", you get my sex life. Honestly, the problem is that... well, the offense has been way too patient to a detriment. Watching good pitches go right by. It's nice we're near the top in pitches seen and SwStr%, but being terrible in K% seems to indicate that we're getting nailed looking on far too much. The way we've seen this unfold almost uniformly team-wide has been really bizarre. When that starts happening and our pitching starts slipping even just a little... yeah.
  22. Just hearing Raul Mondesi's name gives me horrible memories.
  23. That Dickerson HR... I have to admit, I only remember a few times seeing a HR ball reach the 500's (Blue Jays legend Jayson Werth comes to mind) and the only times it happened, I remember them being just inside the foul pole and barely making it into the 1st row. That one was a legit 2-3 rows deep and wasn't even close to the foul pole. I don't think I've ever seen a ball travel that far here before. I'm not even mad, that was amazing.
  24. "Here's Matt Kemp, their best player right there" Okay, Pat lol. What year is it?
