    The problem is, the grabbing of the leg, which I agree is interference, falls under rule 7.09d: The problem is, that rule is not reviewable. 6.14j (aka the Chase Utley rule) is the reviewable play here.

    Seriously, this sets such a horrible precedent too. Mark my words, we will see middle infielders diving and flopping like soccer players to draw cheap interference calls on that rule.

    Seriously, that's a horrible call. The Utley rule has 3 criteria: 1. Have to slide early 2. Have to be well within reach of the bag 3. Can't slide past the bag You're still allowed to get a piece of the infielder if you follow those 3 criteria.
