Vladdy shoukd sign whatever contract Jays have on the table right now… 1/16 of his season is over and he is looking like Vladdy of 2023. If he goes another 10 games without hitting a home run or hitting less than .250 Jays brass will pull contract and say we will talk to you the day after World Series finishes up 👀. Sometimes you bet on yourself and sometimes you loose!!!

Pat Gillick and Alex A had no problem getting people in trades or free agents to sign! Both new they had to overpay but both still got the job done!!! Atkins and Shapiro are having anxiety now cause both know their f***ing jobs are really 100% on the line! You want Soto you pay 800 million or don’t enter conversation, you want Butns you offfer 300 million or don’t enter conversation, you want Japanese pitcher you tell him you gurantee renegotiation of long term contract after 1 year offering 20 million a year until free agency! Sounds out there but unless you willing to do that then you should never enter negotiations to begin with or you look like a f***ing idiot to your peers, fans, and ownership when missing out on everything you attempt! Right now best course of action is to fire both of these clowns and bring in new management and start 3-4 year rebuild by trading all pitchers, Vlad and Bo! Let’s not forget how f***ing idiotic it is to drag out negotiations with Vlad. Either give him 400-450 million or trade him, stop f***ING the dog you inept pompous prick!!! When you are fired you will know why no one needs to tell you otherwise!

Queue the fire sale coming….. Either Atkins or Shapiro approach Roger’s Board of Directors next 1-2 weeks and ask for rebuild and the fire sale begins on Bo, Vlad, Gausman, Berrios or they wait till May 15 and if they are 7-8 games back early fire sale occurs. They are going to say to Roger’s that they tried to attract top free agents but were unsuccessful and tell fans the cost of keeping both Bo and Vlad are prohibitive and best direction is to trade to maximize mlb ready players. Bottomline… sit back and wait approach has never worked out for Atkins and the fact not one free agent signed outside of a pitchers is telling that no one wants to come to TO due to no long term franchise stability with core players. That is 100% on Atkins and Shapiro. Both know their time is up in Oct 2025 but don’t want to screw future MLB job opportunities with foolish panic moves. Their flashy suits from day 1 showed they were all flash and no substance coining from failures in Cleveland.

Castillo: The Toronto Blue Jays have money to spend and they want to spend it, but they just can't get anyone to take it. That's a sign amongst players talking in their circles about the future of the Blue Jays with Vladdy and Bo not signed and that the management is not very good to deal with period either in too much micro managing or players themselves don't feel comfortable there in the current environment. In both of their minds it has been obvious they don't value Vladdy at his dollar value he is asking but they will find out what he is worth in free agency and what other teams are willing to pay! We will hear all the ******** from these two suits next fall and say we tried but Vladdy decides to go elsewhere. What cracks me up more though is how in the last 3-4 years Atkins speaks to the media as though he is so carefully scripted puppet acting like he is a corporate baseball savant that he purposefully talks in around circles and never answers any direct questions to the media. He answers with nonsense replies giving no substance to anything of the question he is actually asked that when other GM’s and player agents are watching, they must think he is a complete f***ing idiot in how he is presenting himself to the fans and media. The guy is a dead GM walking and make no wonder we cannot attract in big name free agents. He is dogmatic in his pride of defense minded players/ team he will not open the piggy bank to sign a free agent big bat so it shows he was wrong the last couple of years in constructing the hitless Blue Jays team! We are so f***ed this year he is dreaming Bo and Vladdy will be MVP’s paper and save his GM ass!

The problem is do we expect Ross Atkins to get value for these guys at the deadline??? No way!!! The sooner Rogers fires these guys for letting Vladdy walk the better this organization will be in the short and long term.

It seems more obvious the last 3 years that Shapiro/Atkins and their team is getting out maneuvered at every angle possible by other GM’s. Bad decision on not extending Vladdy prior to this year, free agent market they have no game plan or risk taking and value everything wrong in terms of free agent player assessment and pricing! Not saying things aren’t overvalued right now but seems weird these two cannot for once be right or on someone and seal a deal period. Other agents are playing these two to drive up price for other bidders. Plain and simple no one wants to come to TO and it is NOT about the money… It is about players internal and externally discussing in their circles that these two clowns have created an environment no wants to be part of, so attracting good free agents is impossible to sway if there is negativity about TO management. Bassett isn’t wrong in his assessment, he just has the balls to state it knowing he wants out and to be traded so as to be on a winner moving forward in his walk year. Watch Vladdy walk, fan base disgusted, attendance down this year and bext year and these two clowns canned by Roger’s Board of Directors!!!

Kind of wish one of two things lol.... 1. Rogers Board of Directors recruits Mike Elias from Baltimore for President of Baseball Operations and GM. 2. Rogers Board of Directors recruits Billy Beane for President of Baseball Operations and GM. In either case it would be fun to watch an organizational philosophy coming from elias or the swinging and dealing of trades from Beane. Both would benefit from from a 200 million plus payroll!

You got that f***ing right!!! Considering Shapiro makes it be known he has “final say” in all baseball decisions. This falls on Shapiro as much as Atkins in the so-called Shatkins era! Both have to be gone for a change in organization philosophy!

I think Atkins basically in more or less words said they have a small Window which you would think is June 01 based on the stats you just indicated! Can we see the Jays go 11 wins in next 13 days, probably not more like 5-6. At which point management will be on the phone deciding their strategy for July 31st deadline but the assets of Berios, Gausman could be moved sooner as these guys are not true deadline trade deals. I suspect 2-3 teams will engage the Jays for both those players and two be honest if Atkins goes after the ******** big haul of 3-4 prospects for each one that is the wrong approach! You get a team's #1 prospect and #2 prospect that will be in the lineup next year or this year! Both those guys are #1 pitcher this year with 3-4 years left on Berios and 2 years left on Gausman. I can see Orioles, Royals, Phillies, Braves, and Dodgers right now as best fit for both of these guys and they probably would trade for both as an investment beyond one year and championship run. I suspect June 21 to July 07 both these guys are traded as these teams would benefit with both players in their lineups sooner than later. If Atkins mis-steps, goes for big prospect hauls with nothing in lineup next year he is fired along with Sharpiro by Rogers Board of Directors.

I’m pretty sure if this exact quote was sent to the Toronto Star and the words “High Performance Training” were mentioned just like this… The writing on the wall for Atkins and Shapiro to be jettisoned by Rogers Board of Directors would come to pass on June 15th! Great f***ing post by the way!!!

I have to say this is somewhat humbling… as I was pissed when Shapiro let Alex Anthopolus walk over baseball operations decisions. How has that f***ing worked out for you now Shapiro and Atkins and oh… Let’s not forget all the success Anthopulos has had since in Atlanta and continued playoff caliber team every year and a World Series. Both you twats roasted him saying he mis-managed prospect assets and put Jays behind a future rebuild. Look at our assets now and playoff caliber team!!! Better explanation is this…. They are a bottom 5 team in baseball right now and nothing about to improve in the next 120 games! You have to at least bring in a new GM to clean house cause Atkins is tainted on his own vision and too emotionally involved to trade players away that he brought in!

Jays could really re-stock minors with trades in July with eye in contention in 2027. Trade Gausman Trade Jansen Trade Berrios Trade Kikuchi Trade Bichette Don’t go for prospect hauls of getting 3-4 players for each of Gausman and Berrios. Ask for a teams can’t miss #1 and #2 prospects so you get as close as you can to mlb ready studs. If you cannot, hold till off-season. If Jays two pitchers are available there will be teams willing to give up their top prospects for both those guys! Whether stud pitchers or stud player position take best available to bring another couple of young guys Jays can build around as a young core!

This season is becoming so laughable now!!! If Jays are 10 games under .500 by June 01 Shapiro will be replaced on June 15. Let’s sit back and watch the dismantling of the player roster beginning in early July. Don’t rule out Atkins and Shapiro gone cause when Rogers wants “moves” due to viewership and sales they tend to clean house all in one shot!!! New president probably being searched now in secrecy. The reason I think Shapiro is gone cause he adamantly says he is in on involved in day-to-day baseball decisions so current roster is on Shaprio as much as Atkins. Will usher in rebuild and be competitive in 2027!

Just watch next at bat for Vladdy on how he slightky moves his body at last second to adjust his swing each pitch differently. He is not “Square” at the plate! When he is in homerun derby mode he does not do that he is square. So tells me it is a bad hitting habit and he is to open up as the pitcher winds up so he can better see the pitcher I’m thinking, but his motion to adjust is never timed perfectly on a continuous basis and why his swing is sporadic all over the place. He is NOT hitting the ball square and generating bat-to-ball in a smooth motion.

Not to be critical… But tell me how the f*** Vladdy can hit every ball off the plate causing pop-ups but anything right down the middle he swings through it?! He is not seeing the ball just watch how he positions himself just before the pitch comes then he slightly shifts his body inwards at last minute to get himself in position to swing. That right there is the timing issue! You don’t move your body into position as the ball is coming, you put your body in position prior to see and generate the swing. That one slight adjustment movement is killing his timing cause he is unknowing adjusting his batting stance based on the pitch coming to him hence no consistency and unable to generate bat-to-ball contact!

If Vlad’s overall offensive are below replacement level at the end of the season, no f***ing way he goes into arbitration wanting 23-25 million, Ross Atkins should DFA him right there and put the money elsewhere towards a big name free agent hitter.

We saw similar pictures this time last year… Christmas chocolates came to the Guerrero house and last Feb he reported to Spring training and did not look like this!!! Keep you hopes up high but don’t be surprised if he does not look like the Feb 01 😞.

I think Atkins/ Shapiro need to change strategy on free agents for the remainder of this year. Ohtani has delayed the free agent market, everyone is in catch-up mode, Ohtani money probably has elevated free agents expectations, etc. I think there is no point to get in bidding war with Yankees and Dodgers we will lose every time unless Atkins says outbid until they accept which is not the front office’s play book! I would reach out to Bellinger, Yamamoto, J.D. Martinez and say listen we are interested but our approach is open dialog where we want to know if your interested in joining the Jays and if so what is your price? If we agree we offer a 48 hour window and an additional 24 hour window for final counter offer. At which point we move on to other free agents. Don’t let free agents dictate your timeline, if they do, then they are just playing Jays against other teams. Hard deadline gives Jays maximum opportunity to move on free agents willing to sign versus those that are using the Jays to drive up price! Cause Dodgers have showed free agents they can do this to the Hays so Jays now need to counteract that perception immediately! I think this is best approach for remainder of this free agent season! No point to wait for a Japanese pitcher to wait it out for best offer from Yanks and Dodgers! Jays just a patsy if they allow that going forward. Be positioned, be forceful, direct, and decisive, if it works great, if not move on!
