This is the worst idea. Why would you want a 41 year old guy who gives up walks and homeruns pitching out of the bullpen? How do you effectively use a KB out of the bullpen? Matchups go out the window. Plus, you need a catcher that can catch the KB. -

Yeah, but is 5.34/9 really "more", yes technically... but 3.8/9 seems unsustainable, I'd strike-out more pitching under-arm.

If his GB% wasn't so high I'd be concerned by his low k%, but he could be a less extreme version of Henderson Alvarez (w/ a different arm slot etc).

I'd rather not have more netting, it upsets the view and you pay a lot of money in those seats to get it. It's worth it for the very rare injury that may or may not occur. I'd suggest looking at the brittleness of the bats instead, they shouldn't be breaking so easily.

I think it's pretty accurate. Look at Colabello, the eye test says his offense is barely making up for his defense... WAR agrees with that statement. But defensive stats, they say, are not reliable over short term so who knows. Hamilton has stolen 23 of 27 bags... that in itself is a lot of value, not to mention range in the OF, going from 1st to 3rd, 2nd to home on singles, etc.

No he really couldn't have run to the base himself (Harper would have hustled all the way if that was the case). And the toss looked okay to me, just happened to be in Estrada's line of sight. I'll have to see more to judge for myself. People sure are eager to take the 160 wRC+ guy out of the line-up... though admittedly he needs to be removed from the OF.

There's actually nothing "holy s***" about it. Projections now have Colabello ahead of Smoak on offense (and BsR if you want to be picky). At the very least he should be platooning with Smoak unless his defense at 1B turns out to be inadequate.
