    Why? Because he's concerned about what fans think? That wouldn't be a good look. You move him to whomever you think offers you the best deal. I don't even buy the nonsense about not wanting to trade within your own division. Take the best deal for you.

    This isn't true - like at all. It started with Vlad, Bo, Teo, Gurriel, then Manoah, Kirk, Moreno (who became Varsho), now it's Barger, Clement and a pile of bullpen arms with a farm system that is stacked with high upside starting pitching. I know it's been frustrating - that second wave seemed like it was a dud, but prospects aren't always perfect and development isn't linear. It's unpredictable at best. It's a lot of fun to see so many home grown players contributing these days. Keep it coming Ross!

    The Jays were WELL overdue to have some good luck/outcomes.

    Can AA move Sale while he's on the IL if the other team agrees to it? I still think there's a chance he moves him. The question is how much does the price drop due to the uncertainty of that injury? If the answer is "not that much" than I think there's a chance AA moves him. I think his comments before the injury was just gamesmanship to drive the price up.

    Woodruff for Bo? That's not what the Brewers would want (an expiring contract), but that might be the type of player they want to help them win this year...

    Won't most of these players end up on the team anyway as injury replacements? There's always a # of players who pull out due to injury.

    Yeah I don't mind Barker. He's got the old country bumpkin thing going for him.

    That isn't true at all. Several people felt Barger wasn't strong enough defensively to play 3rd regularly. I believe the #'s supported that last year, but clearly he's out the work in. He's become a franchise cornerstone overnight. I believe these are the waves of talent Atkins referred to.
