  1. Wow if the Padres eat salary, I'm down. Shields and Price on the same team again!
  2. Was Colabello nailed intentionally? Missed the game... f*** yeah, this was definitely the quickest way to get back into division talks. Almost sweep the AL leading Royals, sweep the 2nd wildcard leading twins, and sweep the division leading Yanks. Estrada boss again?
  3. I have no idea how they calculate it, but if ^ is true why does our playoff chances fluctuate by so much with 50+ games to go. Them winning or losing a game shouldn't affect their talent level.
  4. Maybe the perception of some people cuz there is definitely a correlation, but I think the reason behind it lies more with the players connection with his teammates. Saw a lot of frustrating plays from Rasmus as well when he was at the plate. Looked like he just didn't care at times.
  5. These percentages are such a joke honestly. How can we really have a 77.3% chance to make the playoffs when we are only 3 games up in the wildcard? It just assumes we are going to continue playing exactly how we have been playing in the last 10 games (9-1). Rather just look at games back/future schedule.
  6. Probably why he got traded...you don't trade guys just b/c of errors. He just seemed like he didn't give a s*** on D and focused only on hitting.
  7. If Pompey goes to RF maybe. Revere-Pillar-Pompey. Bautista to 1B
  8. How is Bautista below average defensively? Has a cannon of an arm, decent speed?
  9. So they are hoping Shields clears, if he doesn't they reclaim him/try to trade him? What's the point of this?
  10. Don't even need that much from him. The team is so terrible at bunting, at this point Revere would look good as a pinch-bunter. His + D in left has been nice.
  11. Hutch basically turned into Dickey. Gets through five then hits a wall.
  12. Why did they make such a big deal of Sanchez appealing when it made no difference? Just took him out of the Yankees series Man the dome is dead tonight
  13. who pulls the trigger? eventually that guy will need a collar too lol
  14. How can Hutch's fastball command be SO bad when guys are getting by throwing 87-90. He is done.
  15. Just when I was warming up to the idea of Colabello at first... Colabello back to the bench.
  16. On September 16, 2004, Schilling won his 20th game of 2004 for the Red Sox, becoming the fifth Boston pitcher to win 20 or more games in his first season with the team, and the first since Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley in 1978. Schilling ended his regular season with a 21–6 record. On October 19, 2004, Schilling won Game 6 of the 2004 American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees. Notably, he won this game playing on an injured ankle—the same injuries that contributed to his disastrous outing in Game 1 of the ALCS. These injuries were so acute that by the end of his performance that day his white sock was soaked with blood, which is now referred to as "the bloody sock". Schilling sold the "bloody sock" at auction for $92,613. The win forced a Game 7, making the Red Sox the first team in MLB history to come back from a three-games-to-none deficit. The Red Sox would go on to win Game 7 and the ALCS and make their first World Series appearance since 1986
