    I'm saying I wouldn't be so quick to run elite players out of town and rely on prospects as they fail more often than not, even the supposed best ones. And pretending a draft pick is some great compensation is foolhardy .

    Yup. I'd load up on the Minor and H.Alvarez types as well if the medicals look promising. A pretend small market team like Toronto has to take a chance on some of these types and hope they hit. how much more is chris carter gonna get than smoak?
