  1. An interesting article on Devon Travis' rehab: Rehab was a physical and mental challenge for Devon Travis By Minor Leaguer  @Minor_Leaguer on May 22, 2016, 9:00a link to story - http://www.bluebirdbanter.com/2016/5/22/11730088/rehab-was-a-physical-and-mental-challenge-for-devon-travis
  2. For me, today is the day to decide on the Blue Jays season. If the Blue win then I figure 3/4 at Target Field shows some potential, but if the Blue Jays can only win 2/4 against the Twins then it is time to revert to a casual fan and just follow the scores and stats on MLB (and look forward to the start of the NFL season, although it won't be the same without Peyton Manning).
  3. Will the Blue Jays trade Drew Storen? - http://www.torontosun.com/2016/05/21/will-the-blue-jays-trade-drew-storen

    NBA Thread

It is good to see the Raptors win tonight. I thought the Cavaliers would win in 4 game but I am just a casual fan and don't know much about the NBA. If Jonas Valanciunas could play, would the Raptors have a chance against Cleveland? In the games I watched he seemed like an important part of the team.
  5. Thanks for the clarification. (yes it was under the Pawtucket stats) Pompey had an error today for Buffalo, his second of the year (not too bad)
  6. Actually it does say 5 in this box score - http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2016_05_21_pawaaa_bufaaa_1&t=g_box&sid=milb . He seemed ok at 2nd base in 2015.
  7. Goins seems to be a slap hitter. I just wonder why anyone would want to hit that way. Hockey players can be taught to power skate, why can't Goins be taught to swing a bat properly. Seriously, I don't think this is a matter of lack of talent but lack of IQ. Here is how Bautista hits, and even Darwin Barney seems to have a similar approach; they both get their whole body into the swing. Goins seems to mainly use his arms to slap the ball (and does it poorly).
  8. A great location for fans who just want to experience the Fenway Park ambiance but don't have much interest in the actual game.
  9. Any guesses on when Goins gets sent down and Travis called up. My guess is Tuesday, May 24th in New York. (actually it might happen after tomorrow's game, since both Toronto and Buffalo are off on Monday). Devon Travis was at 2nd base today in Buffalo and got a double and base on ball - http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2016_05_21_pawaaa_bufaaa_1&t=g_box&sid=milb I have to admit, Ryan Goins really does suck at the plate and may see little time in the MLB in the future.
  10. An interesting stat: The Blue Jays are 9 - 13 at home (0.409 winning record) The Twins are now 7 - 12 at home (0.368 winning average)
  11. He said that the Twins were telling the umpire that the first pitch was in the zone (it was called a ball), the third pitch at the same location was called a strike; Donaldson just said that he told the umpire not to let the Twins chirp at him (the umpire). I believe Donaldson, I don't think he was verbally abusing the umpire in any way. Donaldson seems like a very honest, sincere and humble person - an easy player for fans to root for.
  12. Sportsnet central had an interesting interview with Donaldson. He confirmed that he was responding to the Twins dugout not the umpire. Also SportsNet Central thinks that Aaron Loup pitching in AAA is good news for the Blue Jays in that Loup will be with the Blue Jays soon; this is desperation time for the Blue Jays.
  13. That's the way it goes. If the Blue Jays lose tomorrow then they have little hope for a good 2016. If the Blue Jays are out of it by the end of May then they can bring Pompey up to drum up some fan interest. And Travis will be back, that might give fans a reason to watch games.
  14. If the Blue Jays lose again tomorrow then it might be the official end of playoff hopes.
  15. This is the story of the 2016 season.
  16. Why did Bautista lob that throw to Goins.
  17. Good luck for the Happ. But now some bad luck.
  18. I guess even a team with a poor record like the Twins still have some decent pitching.
  19. Goins never gets marginal calls. It has been this way all season.
  20. That makes sense. Pillar doesn't take many called strike 3's though.
  21. Players protect the plate when they have 2 strikes not at 1-0.
  22. They were pitching around Bautista but he swung at one off the plate. Even so, the way Goins is hitting I can't blame Bautista.
