    Victor Martinez sounds like the kind of DH I think most people here would be up for. He has 2/36 left and not much in the tank left, For me it would be worth it if they take Smoak back and eat some of that already horrible money.

    Well he strikeout the same as Smoak but unlike Smoak he actually has some power. If we have him Smoak and Upton on the same team we can really chase some strikeout records

    The Jays are not going to be out of it. Even without any additions and losing Saunders/EE/Bau they are a 82-84 win team.

    Liriano had 9.5k and 2.9bb in his 60 or so innings with Martin. He can be a valuable asset next year If we aren't in it his trade value will be through the roof

    Lol Tigers desperate to get rid of Upton already. Pathetic that they signed him to the ridiculous amount and now want a bailout. That is a team that is going to go downhill fast and need to shed payroll. Also saw Oakland's outlook which is horrible How many legit options are there for EE. Wouldn't surprise me if there were only 2-3 legit fits. Plus Trumbo and Napoli in the market. 95 Mil. More like 4/80 at the most and that is the best case scenario

    Maybe we need to stop training kids for baseball and make sure they stay in school. Take a look at the movie Sugar. A large part of what's going on here is immoral. These are kids. Western Civilization needs to stop exploitation of other countries youth. Did you ever stop to think that these kids who joined academies rarely get any education. Basically their whole life is a like a training ground and for 98 percent that don't make it. Their life is nothing after the fact because they didn't prepare for anything else MLB is trying to make the process a little bit better by adding some standards and increasing the age. As far as destroying baseball, they ought to be playing for the fun of the game not in the hopes of 1 in 10000 making it big. Sports is so exploitative. We have become users and addicts. I wouldn't want any kids going into training to be ball players. All kids must focus on education and by education I don't mean learning to speak English so they can make the majors some day.

    We couldn't win with Bautista and EE in their primes we won't win with them now. It's time to move on and build a more balanced approach. Two draft picks right there

    Wilner seems pretty sure they will stretch out Biagini. I hope they keep him with the big league club
