  1. Christ don't tell me Navarro is in DH
  2. This is the same as comparing any bad person to Hitler
  3. Just fluke brah. Small sample size pffffft
  4. If we had just signed Krod how much better would we be right now
  5. Jays bullpen.is great when the score is 10-6 Put them.in a close game and the bottom.falls of How about the bullpen in close and late games
  6. Again Oakland isn't done. They are a good team and will factor in AL West
  7. Boyd is part of AA masterplan to acquire KRod You know the guy we could have signed without reading any assets at all. Now we will trade assets for him
  8. ^ fair enough I guess a lot of the hatred towards Gibby ought to be going towards AA but at the same time most would admit that he brings very little if any value to the Jays
  9. A bad manager hurts the team
  10. They hired a president who they thought would take care of that.
  11. ^ Probably activated tomorrow and playing tomorrow.
  12. It says a lot about a franchise that rehires a manager who it fired So essentially Jays fired Gibby saying he is not competent enough to manage at the MLB level, then a few years later rehired him, virtually saying he is competent??? So what about 2008? There is so little continuity here as a franchise. Why was he fired in 2008? He couldn't get the job done then, but now can get the job done? How many organizations do that. At least with Cito he won multiple world series championships, when he was let go, the tag line was a change is needed but what was the tagline of the Gibbons rehiring Here is this guy, who didn't get the job done before, but look we are rehiring him because he is loyal and wont f*** us over for another job like Farrell. Maybe that was the problem, after Farrell screwed AA over, AA decided on Gibby because he knew Gibby would never get another job anyways. Sort of like marrying the ugly girl because no one will want to have an affair with her anyways.
  13. Right on. Rogers put this franchise in a position to win something years ago, but has probably now realized that its not going to happen. I pray that DD can still be brought here.
  14. ^ People just dont get it around here. The entire philosophy is wrong. You cannot build a contender based on the Offense no matter how good the Offense the focus must be pitching. It just wont work. Take Sanchez for example. What was he trending to be last year, a Plus Plus reliever who could close. However make him a starter, and he is clearly out matched. We all know Sanchez wont be a starter long term, too much contact. The only reason he is injured and not in AAA is because he has been lucky. He has been one of the worst starters in the majors last year. If he had been kept in the pen to start the year, so much more value could have been extracted from him. We would have solidified our position. This was already a weak team from the pitching standpoint even with Stroman. In the offseason we lost Happ and Jansenn (Pitching well again). Who was acquired?
  15. They haven't over achieved. They find clever ways to be competitive. They know that if they can get a well pitched game, and play good defense out there, some offense will be generated naturally. You wish we had the Rays entire management team.
  16. He gives too many chances to people. Been the story of the franchise, Countless pitchers who we know will not be successful at the MLB level, are given huge runs. It doesn't seem to happen with the Rays. If its not Copeland, its Jo Jo Reyes. If its not Reyes its Josh Towers. Since Ash left, the franchise hasn't relied on drafting developing and focusing on pitching talent. Its been about mounting offense. JPR came the closest when he signed Burnett and build an amazing bullpen in the middle of the last decade. It pains me to realize that it was now almost 7 years ago. That Jays team won 87 games. AA has never focused on the pitching, always thinking he can patch things up. He likes Gibby, because Gibby thinks like him. Thats all there is. All Gibby and AA care about is so and so battled out there. 6 years of AA and what young pitchers do we have to show for all his efforts? Stroman who finally came around last year, and Hutch thats it. Nothing more. The best pitcher he ever drafted pitches for the Mets now, and man you talk about hurting now. Wait till Syndergaard wins a couple of cy young awards.
  17. ^ no ill probably watch them win another division just like I have the last decade
  18. We can only hope that there is still hope for that marriage. Otherwise it maybe another 22 years before we see a playoff game.
  19. Most managers would have this team leading the division by at least 3 games.
  20. What do you mean we weren't supposed to.win. we were tied going into the ninth
  21. I can't even count how many times I got shitted on in the off season for calling AA to.improve the bullpen
  22. I remember when in the off season is ask about the bullpen all I got is shitted on telling me how good Cecil.is
