    The point in question is not that Travis was not in the lineup, and that Goins came up in a key situation The point was that the Jays sacrificed an out in order to create a situation whereby Goins had to come up with a key hit (the worst hitter on the team by far) The choice was runner on 2nd, 1 out, Goins Up Runner on 1st, 0 out, Pillar up. The second scenario has a way higher chance of scoring a run.
