Navy Seal Copypasta (also known as the “Marine Copypasta,” “Internet Tough Guy Copypasta” and “Gorrila Warfare Copypasta”) is a facetious message containing a series of ridiculous claims and grandiose threats that portray the poster as an Internet tough guy stereotype. In the original post, the writer claimed to be a former Navy Seal with a long history of combat experiences, using comical typos and hyperboles like “Gorrila Warfare,” “300 Confirmed Kills” and “I can kill you in over 700 ways with just my bare hands.” Since its emergence in mid-2012, the copypasta has spawned a variety of spin-off stories, similar to the John Copypasta meme. The copypasta is believed to have originated on the military and weapons enthusiast image board Operator Chan sometime in 2010. The earliest archived posting was submitted on November 11th, 2010 to 4chan’s /jp/[4] (Otaku Culture) board, in which the poster claimed to have seen the message previously on Operator Chan.

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. I'd dangle Donaldson and Estrada to Houston if it came down to trading Donaldson. Bregman/Tucker/Whitley/Martes etc. are all there. Donaldson would be a luxury for them but they do need starters, which is why I see if I can swing a combo deal with Estrada thrown in as well

The Red Sox had a plethora of elite prospects that were all ready to come up and take the spots of their old veterans, which is why they were able to rebound so quickly. We have Alford, Gurriel (who knows what his upside is), and what? Maybe Tellez who is struggling? On the pitching side you don't have much: SRF struggling, Greene is the ultimate question mark, and...Jon Harris who looks like a backend starter? Also, Donaldson is neither cheap nor controllable. We have him for one more year in which he will be paid $20 mill plus.

Its not really a question of what those players have done, more so a question of whether or not he could have done a better job with what he ultimately got back. That 2015 trade deadline alone saw something like 11 or 12 pitchers traded for what ultimately ended up being only Troy Tulowitzki who is still a member of this team (Dawel Lugo was also shipped for Pennington).

The Baumann argument against rebuilding is weak at best. "Pick up Bautista's option"....why? He completely glosses over the fact that we're sitting at ~$20+ million in added payroll next year just from salary increases to Osuna/Sanchez/Stroman/etc. so even if you let Liriano or someone go, you're not really opening up any new money to spend elsewhere. The whole "retool and try again next year" premise relies entirely on everything working out for what would be at best a shaky shot at a Wild Card spot, it simply isn't worth it nor is it a "smart" plan.

No. If it was just an injury fill-in, then why not promote Gudino from Lansing who isn't even getting to play much SS because of Bichette? Like i said, given the preseason talk about Vicuna being one of the surprises of camp, my guess is that he's literally played himself into that call-up. It doesn't make sense to randomly throw a kid up multiple levels for shits and giggles.

Vicuna was a top IFA signee three years ago. Like Gudino he was a skinny defense-oriented SS who really struggled to hit after turning pro (needed to add a lot of strength). I remember hearing that he was looking a lot better at the start of spring camp, so its definitely intriguing that they brought him right up to Dunedin straight from extended. He got called up when they traded Kelly to Philly which pushed Cardenas to AA. If this hitting prowess is for real then he is definitely a real prospect as a 19 year old SS in High A.

What peripherals? 3 innings? Use your eyes. His arm is average at best. Way too many pitches sitting in the heart of the plate. Its obvious why he's constantly put "behind" other relievers.

This team needed balls bouncing off Carrera's head and terrible errors (like the Cardinals' SS throwing the ball away with the game on the line) to win. We're looking "better" (duh, we were the worst team in the league) but I think you're overstating regarding turning the corner. Its been against the Angels and Cardinals, neither team impresses me.

Tepera actually has a pretty good arm. Fastball up to 96, slider at ~89.

No obvious choice but its looking like a very strong college draft at the top. I have a sneaking suspicion that Auburn's RHP Casey Mize may be a darkhorse if he stays healthy. He's blown up this year dominating the SEC while sitting 95/96 and hitting 100. Auburn's HC (Butch Thompson) is a great pitching coach (he came from Miss State where they had Graveman and company).

Wrong. There's no clear-cut top player because there are several guys in college who are performing extremely well already. 2018 looks like a strong draft.
