I feel sorry for anyone who hedges their emotions. So many people do that but only true pleasure can come from believing in a team throughout. Jays will win the AL East I'd bet my life on it -
Are you even a jays fan. I ask because from your posts it appears that you dont support this team and have no interest in seeing them winning.

Beating the Rays has two purposes. 1. Win. 2. Eliminate any hope they have of getting in this race Once accomplished approach Freeman and offer him 4 prospects. He can have ANYONE not in the mlb roster for Price and Zobrist including Sanchez Norris Pompay Even that might not be enough. However that's the right move.

I think many people here are.missing the scenerio of what playoff baseball can do for the jays. Imagine ratings of 3-4 million. That's gonna wake rogers up. It might usher in an era of where we can spend the same amount as the Redsox

Sometimes in life you have to go for it. Norris will pitch and pitch well but if we keep him he will pitch well for a .500 team forever I like to remind people of how tough this team was to watch when 86 wins meant nothing. People talk about our young pieces look around. Rays are going to have that top pitching back next year. Orioles have better younger controllable talent then us. Redsox are loaded with young guns and bottomless pockets not to mention the Yankees will.always be Yankees

Kgm I respect your opinion but take a look at the AL east. All of the other teams have better prospects and better controllable pieces going forward. Sorry but its true. Not to mention the bottomless pockets. How long do you think the Yankees and redsox mediocrity will last? I bet they are both 90+ wins team.next year. Its either going for it this year or assuring 3rd and 4th place for the next 5 years. If you enjoyed the last five years and want five more years of that then good for you Id rather jays take their shot this year for 1st and I'll be okay with watching a last place team for the next five years. As far as I am concerned there is no difference between a third place team and a last place team since neither really competes

Like I said I will take my chances head to head against the orioles. They haven't had the tougher part of their schedule while we will be playing 47 games against below .500 teams in the final 70 games. Could come down to final weekend

Don't discount Baltimore. They are healthy and have a great offense. Furthermore they have a competent manager

If the Yankees win today we will be tied for second with them. Yankees are in Baltimore to end the first half. We face Tampa I expect 2 out of 3
