  1. A+ Van lost their season opener, but Martin’s Vanderbilt buddy C Philip Clarke hit 3rd for the Canadians and got on base 4 times, went 1 for 1 and 3 walks. Catching depth: Alejandro Kirk Danny Jansen Reese McGuire Riley Adams Gabriel Moreno Chris Bec Philip Clarke Zach Britton Victor Mesia
  2. Martin grounds out. Lucky chopper by Lopez, followed by a screamer opposite field base hit along the foul line by Groshans and RBI double by Moreno. Young up the middle base hit scoring Groshans, Demi long ass wall scraping base hit scoring Moreno. Just in the 3rd inning. This Fisher Cats has guns blazing offense.
  3. Chavez Young has a lot going on in the batters box. Bat taps, hip turns, pelvic thrusts, leg kicks. We’re pretty much just missing a Soto shuffle. https://media0.giphy.com/media/7JETqZF5PbCtYwjpUT/giphy.gif Good speed, good arm, good reputation on the glove as well. Potential switch-hitting centerfielder. I remember a few of the guys were high on him years back. Let’s see how he hits in double-A.
  4. Moreno with a ridiculous strikeout, throw out to end 1st inning. He’s so athletic and his actions behind the plate is starting to get refined. It’s like having a second shortstop on the field. His bat can play anywhere on the diamond, but if he really settles into catcher that's a special prospect.
  5. Surprised it was close, it was way outside for Jansen
  6. Desire to somehow disseminate that Thornton arm swing routine with unwritten consent
  7. A’s can’t pay their minor leaguers, but invests in state of the art wind measuring technology lol
  8. Nate almost gets out of the 4th with ease, but he tips the ball off his glove towards third base on Munoz’s batted ball. Looked like he had enough time to throw him out but didn’t make an attempt. Ball was dead between pitcher and shortstop. It was going towards Kevin Smith before Nate tipped it, s*** happens. Looks like Nate’s on a 70-80 pitch count, he’s coming close. Nate battles back from 3-0 count but couldn’t finish the strikeout, heater too low again. Walks Wilson, bases now loaded. Mound visit was pretty much just to let him know he’s reached his count and he gets one more batter. Last batter Arauz, heater for strike, heater way outside saved by Graterol almost wild pitch, another ball and slider for swinging strike. Arauz puts up a battle with a couple foul balls. Gets a lucky chopper right between 3B and SS, infield single. Ball was going to Smith at SS but Large takes it away from him, fielders almost collide no throw to 1B. Classic Blue Jays left side of the infield defense, One run in not really Nate’s fault there but Arauz gets credited with RBI single with bases loaded. Nate reaches his pitch count and done for the night.
  9. 4th inning looks like a bit of a rollercoaster. Wong puts up a good AB, Nate almost gives him a haircut with the heater misses badly straight over his head. Tries to finish him off a few times and finally does so with an off-speed pitch. Some really awkward swings by Connor Wong but he puts up an 8 pitch AB. Chavez opposite field double right on the RF foul line. Gettys groundsout to Cullen Large, almost had a infield hit but it was a good throw to Rowdy. Still kinda cruising up until this point. P.S. Boomer delivering snacks to home broadcast team rofl
