The nibbling is infuriating. Just go at guys with a 4-run lead. Then he "wears his emotions on his sleeve" like an entitled child even though he created the situation. -
Stroman had lost it, was coming up against the top of the order again, and just got dinged on a comebacker. BP was the right move. They just didn't execute.

Seeing Thole's arm live really made this obvious last night. Kudos to Dickey for being able to hold his runners so closely. I wonder if Thole's knuckleball sensei could teach him how to do things other major league catchers are expected to do.

Bringing this back from the first page. Just want to point out that I'm right strategically, but boy do I look like an *******. Also, 1-0 in attendance. Next game is in the Dodger series.

Good call on the lineup, but Carrera leading off is egregious. In defiance of all statistical info Gibby gives Pillar the lead off spot out of ST and now won't even let him spot start when the situation calls for it. I'm at the game today. My first since ALCS Game 3. The team was 3-0 last year when I was in attendance.

I'm not discounting that either. But the guy didn't get caught last year, so at this point there's no proof that there's some unbroken line of cheating. Certainly not enough proof for local sportscasters to come to any conclusions yet. I wonder what Smoak thinks of this. Sure, Colabello may have some sympathetic reasons, but Smoak's the guy who lost playing time because of it (assuming Cola was using last year).

Zaun made a pretty good point that the substance has a fairly short shelf life in the body, so the fact that Cola showed up to ST with it in his system suggests he either took something without knowing (stupid) or got something else that was "tainted" (s***** break). I mean, it's always possible that Cola just took it and come what may, but the other possibilities make it tough to just call him a cheat at this point. And this is just me, but even if he did cheat (and yeah, cheating sucks), it's pretty understandable. The big leagues are pretty f***in' cutthroat if you're not a core guy. I wouldn't want to find a real job if I grew up dreaming about baseball. It's one thing for A-Rod and Braun to do it (scummy), but a guy who may as well be living paycheck-to-paycheck... a bit more understandable.
