    My girlfriend went to bed top 11. 40 seconds later Liriano locked it down, then the two hard singles off Ubaldo and I basically dragged her back to the living room. Pretty special we got to see that on the next pitch because we weren't together during batflip.

    This one is on the offense. Gibby will make the necessary pitching adjustments but he can't do anything if the lineup strings together innings of bad ABs as they've tended to do lately. I've seen more than enough stranded baserunners this month, thank you.

    I'll be watching it at home with my girlfriend. I wouldn't subject other people to spending time with me during a Blue Jays playoff game. Everything I hear besides the TV goes in one ear and out the other. I went to ALCS Game 3 (the blowout win) last year but I don't think I'll be going to any games this year unless a ticket is given to me (and, of course, if there are more games).

    I hate this league requirement. In situations like this there can be value in keeping an opponent guessing. Maybe a couple of hitters on the other side get a bit antsy trying to remember too many game plans for one game? Doubtful, but still. Why lay out the cards? Yeah, it's tough. The team playing so poorly this last week forced them to use their two top guys in the last two games. I'd kill for a fresh Sanchez tomorrow.

    Barry's job seems pretty tough. His gig is usually done by an attractive woman. But the network sends Barry in to annoy a bunch of celebrating jocks. Then again, I remember Barry's phone clip of Chavez being carted off after his trade. A guy who would stand there for an eight second clip probably finds a lot of other ways to be annoying too.
