  1. I don't get this. If a place sucks, it sucks. He has every right to say so.
  2. Worth noting that the series win by the Jays forced the Sox to play two in Cleveland. Toronto is directly or partially responsible for heartbreaks in Baltimore, Texas, and Boston. Worth noting: after that 11-game winning streak, the Sox won one of their last nine games, including this series.
  3. Wow. Just over a week ago the Jays were teetering on collapse with no hope in sight. Today they've swept to the ALCS and all three of this season's villains have been bounced.
  4. This is bad for Cleveland if this doesn't happen. Allen is gassed for tomorrow. Miller too.
  5. He's brute forcing this. Just one more, man.
  6. The AL East was way tougher than the Central. Cleveland-Detroit-KC doesn't hold up with Boston-Toronto-Baltimore-New York. Outside of that August winning streak the Royals were basically patsies this year. Cleveland are a really good team but the quality of their competition isn't a good argument for them being better than the Jays. The Indians sure made their money this year by totally skinning the Tigers. 13 wins? 14? Total domination.
  7. You'll hear it anyway, or some other concocted storyline. There is a lot of time to fill in a baseball game and the human element is surefire content for a national audience.
  8. This whole thing is like poetry. Also, "Jeff" Bannister? I've been calling him Brian! Goddamnit.
  9. Jesus is Osuna ever a monster. I did every chore in the house during this game to keep from gnawing my fingers off. Except the laundry. I ain't doing laundry.
  10. I recommend it. Nice hard liquor selection too, but not sure if that's your thing. Good looking place though. They did all that with what a dimly lit dive bar and added the now customary summer patio.
  11. He continues to make me look like an *******. I am one of the biggest Carrera skeptics here. A bird shits on my window and I blame Carrera.
  12. They are lasering everything. Is anyone even warming? No way should the Rangers get another look at Happ.
  13. I love fried chicken. There's a place near me that does fried chicken and waffles. None of my friends ever want to go, but the few times I've dragged them out it was divine.
  14. I've had meat once this week. This thread is killing me. But kimchi rules. I once had a six-lb jar of it and ate some every day for lunch. There's almost no food I won't eat except for blood pudding and haggis. Haggis is worse than starvation.
  15. That ball was a straight line almost to the wall.
  16. That ground-rule double burns. Bounces over the one sliver of wall that isn't 30' tall.
  17. The Chisenhall replay was f***ing terrible. Comes off for a split second and he's out. Jesus just f***ing smother at this point.
  18. Holy s***, Desmond butchered that. Wow that was bad.
  19. I think Bush was a crook, served his time, and then was asked by his ******** manager to hit Bautista -- a guy Bush had literally no tie to. Did what his boss asked him to. That reminds me: f*** Brian Bannister
  20. I don't get the Dyson hate. The Jays humiliated him. There's not much more you can do to the guy.
  21. I really like Choo. In fact, I like all the Rangers except for Odor. I have zero against them. They were one of my favourite orgs before last year's playoffs.
  22. It's also possible the replay guy is totally candid about the chances but Gibby tries it anyway. I can see him fighting for one more batter in an inning for pitch count purposes. Also, get the top of the order leading off the third.
