    That's because in the mid 90s half the league abandoned turf for grass and Skydome wasn't designed to be a real ball park. Kind of like going to Wonderland when your 7 and your the only one who isn't tall enough to ride the coasters with the cool kids and told you have to wait until you're older.

    I grew up in Aurora (family in Aurora/Newmarket). I'm only in my 30s but that place is completely different than it was as a kid. Also, the homes in Aurora are so astronomical in price I was forced out of town by the time I was ready to buy.

    It appears that way because they, like most baseball forums, dilute their content across multiple sub forums which force people to look all over the place for active threads. I really like this forum's set up to just keep everything baseball related under one roof. Unless you have 1000 active members at a time, it's just a pain the ass for everyone and harder for mods to do their job too.

    Of course individual stats matter but 'not believing in war' is a pretty stupid statement. It far exceeds any calculation you can possibly come up with in your head when analyzing a player's overall value to the team.

I have an account just for reading things, they don't really give a s*** about the Jays and for the most part they still consider themselves the underdogs or at least like the title of it.

    I agree regardless, I've just always felt buying championships should be referred to those signing players to 7+ years at ridiculous AAV so no one else has the opportunity to even make an offer. Most teams could afford half a year of Price if they were willing to deal their prospects.

    How is trading for players 'buying championships'? We 'bought' championship calibre players using our prospects. There is a difference. If we sign Price to a 7 year 200MM+ contract than you might have a case. Our only 100+MM contract given out was to Vernon Wells who we drafted...
