  1. I'm waiting for an update that Saunders submits retirement papers.
  2. Well now you're seeing Colabello's 500 innings as relevant but ignored Smoak's 7.2/150 for this year @ 500 innings. Again, Smoak has had 1 bad year that has directly influenced his UZR, 5 of 6 have been positive. Call me when Colabello catches a fly ball, looking up is a thing.
  3. Well yes I'm not that stupid. We were talking about defense and what the term proven defender means. When a player has over 5000 innings and a + UZR he's not costing us runs with his glove, that is all I meant by it. sheesh.
  4. It means he doesn't cost us runs.
  5. Again he's a proven defender, there is zero indication that Cola can play catch at a Midget level.
  6. Justin Smoak is 3rd in MLB @ 1B with a UZR of 7.2/150 this season (450 innings or more - sss I know but still relevant) with 5 of 6 seasons a +UZR rating. He's more than a mild upgrade over Cola.
  7. It would be disappointing at this point but still exciting with a WC spot.
  8. It's a bit above and if he plays in more games than what Steamer is projecting won't that number continue to fall?
  9. Angels are going to keep fading, I doubt they will hang around. If they make it it means they are playing good heading in to the post season and I wouldn't want to face them lol. I'll get a better feel on Texas after this weekend
  10. I'm the opposite though I do like Jerry much better. Radio broadcast really captures the sounds of the stadium so much better, I love hearing walk up music and stadium announcers.
  11. No, no I don't. I can't stand announcers losing their professionalism when doing play-by-play. I also can't stand when they don't do any research on the opposing teams prior to a series. Up until this year, most broadcasters only mention Bautista because of his accomplishments or Buehrle because he's Buehrle, they just assume everything and they take zero time to learn anything about rookies, or why less star players are doing well. They don't bother reading up about Pillar and Goins great defense or Colabello's lack there of. I find Buck at least attempts to give praise to others pretty fairly across the board regarding their strengths and weaknesses. He'll often say how he spoke to others prior to the game about X player and than relay that conversation. Many broadcasters simply don't follow the game much outside their team's bubble or don't bother doing any prep work.
  12. Going forward? Practically league average.
  13. What projections have him as an above average hitter?
  14. and you're still their newest fan.
  15. I like him and his drunk sounds. I find him less of a homer than most broadcasters.
  16. http://media.giphy.com/media/PMqhzKfuiMLQc/giphy.gif
  17. 9 hours before game time? We're doomed.
  18. If someone saw a picture of me circulating on reddit I'd like to know about it. Just sayin'
  19. If only all bad guys could say they just had a bad weekend.
  20. I don't know why they walked Arod, he's in the biggest slump of the season.
  21. Or a couple strikeouts.
  22. Just wow. Gifting Yankees bases load, such bs.
