    Thanks. I just cant like a guy based soley on skills if I know the type of person they are or who they project themselves to be (in this case a giant douchebag). Kind of like boxing, I never understood why so many love convicted rapist Tyson or woman beater Mayweather and literally give them money year after year to see them fight.

    It was last year, here is the sequence of events - Donaldson tags Machado, Machado throws helmet and gets in his face, his pitcher runs out defending him - Pitcher hits Donaldson - Machado hits Norris with his backswing, knocking Norris out of game - A's pitcher throws inside but doesn't hit Machado - Machado tries to fire bat at him next pitch

    They had an off day before the Angels series, I'd say that worked well and when you're traveling between timezones it's a good thing.

    Rangers are just excited not to see Adam Lind in our line up.

    A defensive 1B is so underrated. In the NL without a DH that's just where they stick the big bats, but in reality, a great defensive first baseman can be the difference of turning inning-ending DPs, picking throws from 3B or even in our case, catching fly balls in foul territory. If we lacked a productive bat in the middle of our line up I can see more of a case of Cola over Smoak, but I believe our team has one of the best defenses in the AL that's just overshadowed by our offense.

    At the very least a BP arm, no doubt. Thanks for your contribution Schultz.

    With an expanded roster there are a lot more options though if he's on a strict pitch limit. If he goes 5 innings / start, Delabar will be quite excited for a chance to pitch again and/or Hutch during home games (because that's just how they'll play him). It'll be very interesting nonetheless what approach they take.

    Yea pretty much this. If he actually wants to be traded, he can go to the GM and say hey lets re-write my contract to what I'm actually worth and then I'll publicly say I'm willing to play 2B, SS or any position a manager wants me to play.
