  1. Yea.... Idea being you don't hit in to a double play for him instead so you start him.
  2. Martin is looking a little better lately at the plate.
  3. A SS who can recover from a bobble. Outstanding.
  4. I think what you see is what you get with Happ.
  5. Does every new player, playing for the Yankees have to be allstars in the first month of joining them? It seems like everyone elevates their game with them until the adrenal wears off.
  6. Pillar is such a hack of a lead off man.
  7. Part of me believes you have a Barry Davis poster above your bed.
  8. "OMG There's Josh Donaldson!!!!" "OMG OMG OMG LOOK LOOK, IT'S BARRY DAVIS!!!!" Yeah... I don't think so.
  9. Remember that one time, that no hitter, so much promise.
  10. a walk is a walk, the s***** competition couldn't get a hit off him either.
  11. Just a couple years after you!
  12. I hope so, though he's not going to replace Pillar on the field. JBats & Saunders should cycle the DH spot since Saunders seemingly needs regular rest and Pompey upgrades Bautista on the field. He can play as a starter with that set up, move EE to first and Colabello can go back to the independant league. Give Pompey a solid month+ at lead off and see how he progresses.
  13. Do you think if they moved him to DH it'd lower his off-season value and piss him off? Not that I think the Jays should screw over Bats but I think finding a way to bring up Pompey or Ceciliani to play every day would help this team.
  14. Nationals said, we see your Casey Janssen and raise you Drew Storen.
  15. San Diego released him a couple weeks ago, he's a free agent if not retired.
  16. Chris Davis career vs Aaron Sachez 5/7 2HR, 1 2B, 3BB, 0K, 2.514 OPS lol
  17. Storen's velocity is a concern imo. We might as well just bring back Casey Janssen.
  18. There's 3 or 4 pubs next to the Loose Moose and about a 10min walk from the dome. Probably your best bet for regular pub food. There's also a sports bar next to the Air Canada Centre, there's a street called Bremner that goes from the ACC directly to the Rogers Centre the walk is < 10min. There's a subway restaurant on that street as well, that's where I always grab a lunch before a game.
  19. Depends how close you want to go, your budget & type of restaurant/bar. If you walk north between the CN Tower & Skydome there's a Baton Rouge just across the bridge walking towards front street, they have great ribs and it's a more quiet steakhouse. It's probably the closest place to the dome and not always packed as most people jam in to the Boston Pizza right on Front Street if you keep walking (Avoid that unless you're there early enough). If you want to stay on Front Street for drinks, head East to the Loose Moose. Get there early for a seat though. If you want more local dining, head north past Boston Pizza to King street. From there anything East for a lot of local restaurants.
