  1. Things will improve with this team's lack of offense, they always do (and I'm not just talking about last year). We're actually 5th in the AL in runs scored even with a measly .227 team average. We lead the league in walks and strikeouts (which will regress as the bats warm up). We're just missing that timely hit right now, not cashing in with runners in scoring position and striking out too much. This will change soon and so will the make up of the line up at some point. Travis will help this team more than some realize with his bat and I think Pompey can do the same. The positives that we are ignoring is that our biggest concerns was with our pitching, yet we have a team ERA of just 3.39, last year for the month of April we had a 4.78 team ERA and if we didn't hit out of our shoes we would have been a lot worse than just 1 game under .500 at the deadline. We are a full 1.5 runs better with our defense & pitching, keeping that up is the most important part of this year's success because the bats will come alive even though many here can't see it. Even if they go back to 80% of what last year brought us we will put up a large run differential if our pitching keeps rolling. Some of the losses this year have been caused from passed balls, lil' loopers, s***** infield hits, etc. Our manager hasn't made too many awful decisions. We have to be better all around yes, but a little luck going our way will also turn the tides. We aren't getting blown away by the competition (we have a +3 run differential lost in this mess) and will hit the ground running in May.
  2. Let's just not talk stupid about trading the team already. This team is loaded with talent, I'm still confident things will turn around. We might not be driving in runs right now, but you know what we aren't giving up 6 / game either. Keep pitching good and things will turn around.
  3. Meanwhile the cubs score 100 runs and enjoy a no hitter.
  4. 9th inning, 2 out down by a run. "Bloop or a blast, that's what you need right now, someone to get on." Pat Tabler
  5. UP THE MIDDLE!!!! Oh it's Smoak running, carry on.
  6. Likely just an umpshow but for all we know he's warned him from other at bats, between innings, etc.
  7. OOO see ya later Wieters!!! Next time just stare him down Bats style.
  8. As dominating as Estrada is at times, if he and others only go 5 innings (like he's going to this game) that would hurt our BP. I'm not saying I support pitch to contact for Stroman (though I do for some pitchers who need it to be successful), just pointing out we have 6 more straight games after this game and a taxed bullpen would suck.
  9. He's gifted with Navarro speed is what he's saying.
  10. Alone Season 2 premieres @ 9pm. Don't think I'll have to worry about missing the end of the game before 10pm lol.
  11. Jays vs White Sox must really get you going.
  12. Count, tchew & tchew with no balls thrown in the zone and no swings made.
  13. He just want some McDoubles. Bautista is getting f***ed here by the ump.
  14. I'm surprised there is 6 pages of comments.
  15. There's the GDT, finally found the ignore list.
  16. Remember when ppl use to complain about Navarro's bat?
  17. The league's worst player really. I don't know if there is a worse 25th man on any team and if there is I'd like to know who. There isn't a team who doesn't have Dickey that would have Thole on their roster.
