  1. Jesus Christ, baseball is ruined.
  2. Seriously I'm putting the kid's to bed and getting hammered lol
  3. Why you should never look at baseball comments on Facebook: http://i.imgur.com/RlwcPtw.jpg
  4. Pretty sure a player only has to play a game to contribute and the team decides if they get it. Could be wrong, we've never won anything to look it up lol.
  5. If we win a world series, does he get a ring? What does 1 month of batting bingo get you?
  6. wtf did I just watch
  7. On the bright side, 80 game suspension probably saves the Jays $250K of his salary? Shapiro knows what he was doing.
  8. Probably his therapist.
  9. because it was appealed likely right away?
  10. That's a good thing.
  11. So from a test from last year?

  13. How about no one and just move Donaldsdon to the top. He could literally just put Carerra 9th and have him as the 'leadoff' rest of the game without wasting an extra at bat.
  14. We need more Colabello threads. 20 isn't good enough.
  15. woooooooww. His results gave that drug a bad rap.
  16. Maybe Chavez to DL? Girado is a loogy isn't he? His arm slot is just like Loup as well.
  17. Carerra lead off. What the flying f***. If you are sitting Saunders just move everyone up for a game. ffs, Smoak is a better lead off man.
  18. Why is it financially better to backload a contract for an aging player? If you can afford to do it without backloading you have a moveable trade chip if things decline later in the contract.
  19. I know that silly, I just mean GMs can backload contracts and then jump ship before their hands get tied up with aging, expensive players.
  20. AA doesn't forget. muhahahaha
  21. What are you talking about, we have a great bench! "Lets bring in a big bat off the bench to drive in the go ahead run" "Uhmm, who's that?" "Good point, well lets bring in the speed off the bench and lets steal a run instead" "You want Carerra or Barney?" "Neither, Marcus Stroman"
  22. Things will improve with this team's lack of offense, they always do (and I'm not just talking about last year). We're actually 5th in the AL in runs scored even with a measly .227 team average. We lead the league in walks and strikeouts (which will regress as the bats warm up). We're just missing that timely hit right now, not cashing in with runners in scoring position and striking out too much. This will change soon and so will the make up of the line up at some point. Travis will help this team more than some realize with his bat and I think Pompey can do the same. The positives that we are ignoring is that our biggest concerns was with our pitching, yet we have a team ERA of just 3.39, last year for the month of April we had a 4.78 team ERA and if we didn't hit out of our shoes we would have been a lot worse than just 1 game under .500 at the deadline. We are a full 1.5 runs better with our defense & pitching, keeping that up is the most important part of this year's success because the bats will come alive even though many here can't see it. Even if they go back to 80% of what last year brought us we will put up a large run differential if our pitching keeps rolling. Some of the losses this year have been caused from passed balls, lil' loopers, s***** infield hits, etc. Our manager hasn't made too many awful decisions. We have to be better all around yes, but a little luck going our way will also turn the tides. We aren't getting blown away by the competition (we have a +3 run differential lost in this mess) and will hit the ground running in May.
  23. Let's just not talk stupid about trading the team already. This team is loaded with talent, I'm still confident things will turn around. We might not be driving in runs right now, but you know what we aren't giving up 6 / game either. Keep pitching good and things will turn around.
  24. Meanwhile the cubs score 100 runs and enjoy a no hitter.
