    I dunno if I could handle 3 or 4 past balls tonight. If Dickey goes 6 then Martin should still play 1/3rd the game. He'd be playing if JD could field.

    Well considering JD needs to DH can't really get Martin in the game. If the game is close I'd hope he would replace Thole as soon as Dickey is done for the night .

    Sounds like a typical naive Munenori Kawasaki fan. Sale was arguably the best pitcher in the AL last year. When you strikeout the most batters per 9 that's usually not looked at as an underwhelming year lol. I'm not suggesting Keuchel didn't deserve of it, it's just pitchers have a very hard time getting Cy Young votes without wins. The only pitcher I can think of was King Felix with a .500 record, he is the absolute rare exception to the rule.

    I feel like Chris Sale is the Mike Trout of pitchers in the AL with regards to Cy Young votes. Last year he had the lowest xFIP, lowest FIP and highest K/9 in the AL, basically tied in WAR with Price and gets 4th place voting. So yea, wins matter Happ has a chance.

    If he can give us a 'quality start' I'd be good with it. If we can't score 4 off Weaver we probably deserve to lose.

    I think the main reason is because they are pushing Sanchez back to the 21st since his blister problems occured. It's really a disaster in itself, another 9 days rest for Sanchez between starts and now Dickey goes after not pitching since the Yankees series. Just a big ol' pile of f***ery happening.

    This guy had a >6.00 ERA in 83 IP in AAA, you might say he'll probably kill us because of the unknown but he's exactly the kind of bum we need to face right now. Time to let loose and destroy his dreams.
