  1. Just amazing. Martin is also f***ing awesome at getting calls.
  2. If they are throwing Tillman we might score enough to win in the 1st inning and you can all relax a bit. I really wouldn't change our recipe, score early, hope our Sanchez goes 6 or 7 1 run ball, use Cecil/Grilli/Osuna to close out who will likely all be on minimum 2 days rest and jacked for the game. Yes if Sanchez blows early like 3 innings in of course use another starter as the long arm but to assume he's going to roll over the 3rd time through when he really hasn't all year seems like an odd way to look at it.
  3. We're 6-2 at home against Baltimore and Tigers scare me. I also love the Jays/Orioles rivalry and hope that's what we get for the WC game.
  4. I don't think we are going to experiment that in the WC game. Remember Dickey in extras when we had other options last week?
  5. Not to nitpick, but it's Liriano and his stats are 3.35 ERA, 8.79 K/9, 3.82 xFIP as a Blue Jay. Nice offer on the ticket! I'd come and share beers with you if I could. Go Jays.
  6. Yea, to be honest I'd be okay with any one of Sanchez, Happ or Stroman.
  7. You mean that one game against Boston? C'mon the guy has had to pitch twice(?) on like 10+ days rest this month. Sanchez has the lowest ERA of qualified starters in the AL. Risky business.
  8. I'd go Sanchez.... and I think they will. They've lined him up for the last game of the year for a reason, to pitch if they had a chance to win the division and I believe we'll lock up home field advantage for the wild card before that game.
  9. Probably just trying to save face. He swears on the mound all the time, he's thrown at guys himself (6 game suspension for it), he's chirped to other team's dugouts. Wouldn't surprise me the least.
  10. and get swept by Boston and everything sucks.
  11. The last game of the season could very well end up being meaningless and our B squad will play with Scott Diamond or Dickey on the mound.
  12. Good game boys. Love you Sanchez, Donaldson, you're alright Carerra. Boom boom boom http://i.imgur.com/YW5cUOU.gif
  13. Stop shaking Martin. Youngins
  14. If you told me a year ago Sanchez would be striking out 10 Orioles over 6 innings, including 2 to Davis I would have laughed in your face.
  15. Camera director gives no f***s.
  16. Carerra is hard to figure out. He can be as good as diarrhea one night and part of 5 runs another.
  17. I think rivalries in smaller leagues years ago probably had something to do with it. Why it's accepted I'll never understand either. I will say however, that years ago when the guy died from a ball to the head, giving batters mandatory helmets probably didn't help the cause. Yes it protects them but perhaps rather than dealing with the issue at that time, baseball's response was literally okay carry on but no more killing each other.
  18. Carerra leading off lol. Travis on the bench is a good sign but please just give him at least a full day off at min.
  19. You can't blame Gibby for not going to the mound and saying lets not do this, in the same breath the ump could have taken full control of the situation by giving warnings when the throw went behind Headley, instead he let it play itself out.
  20. It was incredibly stupid of Happ. Hell, a lot of times JD doesn't move at all and purposely takes pitches off his elbow pad for a free pass. He got on base, came around to score from an inside pitch at worst and we take exception. He walked 2 more batters that inning alone, he wasn't head hunting. It was just a stupid chain of events and I'm just glad it was Smoak leading off the inning.
  21. He's given up the home runs but since being a Jay he hasn't been as bad against them as season splits show. 4.17 xFIP, 14.54 K/9 vs LHH since being a Blue Jay. He walks a lot though and that's why he needs a clean inning. He's like Aaron Sanchez 2.0 with Ks which is an important difference.
  22. Brutal. Honestly I still don't get why Happ threw at Headley. Donaldson got hit on his elbow pad on an inside FB. No harm no foul, free bag (who later scores). He also walked 2 more guys, just a wild start with zero intention.
  23. Girardi or not, it's just s***** September baseball that NY has been playing all month since the roster expansion. They don't do that move in July or August starting a series against Boston tomorrow.
  24. When you're winning going in to the 9th and the BP gives up 5 runs, I blame the bullpen. We should have done more against them sure, but Girardi didn't put in a long arm for us to beat up on either, he played his 1 inning selective pitchers which is often tough to beat. September baseball at its finest.
  25. Yea, the guy that gave up home run, single, home run, double with 1 out in the 9th... That guy.
