  1. If we just score a bunch early everything will feel better. Bi just don't want to see a tie game after 5.
  2. You're actually right, I'm sorry I read it wrong when I woke up in bed and didn't digest it right. Once the Yankees were done we did get the better time slots.
  3. I think you're agreeing with him... Regardless there is a massive TV draw with the Jays, one of the biggest in baseball but the majority of the audience is watching it on Sportsnet therefore I think TBS and/or fox, ESPN whoever gets no money for commercial time just the broadcast fee. We have the ratings but they can't cash in on it so no point in playing us on prime time.
  4. We're tired of exciting games, time for the Jays to have a blowout win. Good luck, or whatever.
  5. http://m.quickmeme.com/img/35/35d182fa098247cc173f58c511cca56bbc59c9bcf17cfe5cebcd9b9a494e5a0a.jpg
  6. Yep my wife bought 2 tickets for Adele Friday, stupid expensive. Good thing I got a good set up at home.
  7. Daaaamn. How come they aren't refundable?
  8. I think you are confusing ERA with wins. Even though ERA is heavily flawed from variables outside one's control, it's still a telling story and typically speaking the best pitchers in baseball tend to have the lowest ERA.
  9. This deserves more love.
  10. Nope didn't buy, trying to cut down on spending. I went to 4 games last year and missed alds game 5 because of work, I sold them an hour before game time and now I have to live with missing the bat flip game when I had tickets forever.
  11. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=80&type=1&season=2016&month=13&season1=2016&ind=0&team=2&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0
  12. Don't let anything Gibbons says rub you the wrong way. At least he didn't say we might show up in dresses or something off the wall.
  13. Seriously that's not even remotely fair for any fan or player of the actual teams.
  14. I'm just kind of happy we have a reliable back up option to pick up the slack other than Dickey.
  15. I think he's saying Liriano is a better option to come in from the BP to piggy back Stroman if they decide to do that.
  16. Or you could go back the last 4 seasons and realize April - June, 2016 is a very sample sample of poor results from Liriano... http://static.fjcdn.com/gifs/Trolololol_3a74a5_2577940.gif
  17. They did in Upton... They didn't pick him up Navarro for his bat, he's an overall better player than Thole for the postseason. It was a back up catcher upgrade, whether Gibbons decides to use him as a PH in the game is kind of out of Atkins control though I agree Gibbons' love for him just need to stop. Navarro should only see action if Martin gets on base in extras with none out and Pompey is used as the pinch runner.
  18. If you're just going to jump in here and act all Godly in knowledge because you can sort a Fangraphs leaderboard by xFIP and call all others f***ing mental who don't bite... you're off your meds. It's not just about a few good starts from Liriano, it's a combination of factors that you are being naive about including O's season results against Stroman and their inability to hit LHP all year which already gives Liriano an advantage going in... hence why he just pitched 10Ks against them in his last outing.
  19. welp, hit the reset button on the 10 page discussion.. Liriano for all the reasons we discussed.
  20. That's what I hope they do, it makes the most sense especially for a team with no real depth in the BP. I just hope the s***** Ubaldo or Tillman show up and we crush them early, I'm honestly not too concerned with our SP options just the lack offense against a piss poor pitcher.
  21. I can't believe Carerra is a starter for a playoff team by becoming more valuable than Smoak.
  22. At least Pillar will almost definitely win the Gold Glove this year. Even if you lower the min innings to 800 to include Kiermaeier in the equation, Pillar has a higher UZR/150 than anyone in baseball http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=fld&lg=all&qual=800&type=1&season=2016&month=0&season1=2016&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=24,d
  23. Why should I give a s*** how Liriano pitched for the Pirates in April when considering a 1 game option in October... that's f***ing mental.
