They must have a currency hedge in place though, right? A persistent weak Canadian dollar would hurt us down the road (and likely force an increase in ticket prices), but it may have only a small impact on this year's payroll.

We don't have to promote them until the next cutdown date though, right? i.e., if one of my prospects finishes the year with 59 GP, I could hypothetically wait until the end of next year to promote him? From the PB rules: Once a prospect has crossed this threshold, he must be promoted to the NHL roster no later than the next Cutdown.

http://www.draftpicklottery.com/ I think that this one works pretty well. Choose "Custom". Won't work with decimal weightings, but just multiply weights by 100 or 1000 or something for the quantity of balls.

Sucks for him, but likely has a negligible impact on ML team. Lose a bit of depth maybe.

There's a bit of a drop-off after the top 5. Finishing 27th would guarantee one of those guys. Here's hoping.

Thanks. As a Leafs fan, I'm definitely glad to get rid of Marchand. Should be a win-win trade. GD had some guys that he wouldn't be able to keep, and got an upgrade. I had a shortage of keepers and managed to add a 2 quality forwards.
