  1. Just got home and flipped the game on. Glad to see we're up, but 14 hits and only 3 runs for the pirates. I assume we've been getting lucky?
  2. Pretty uninspiring. The K/BB is the most concerning part. A guy with his speed needs to be able to draw walks and get the ball in play.
  3. Sorry, it was late. I'll take Spittin I guess.
  4. Finally. It'd be nice if Sierra clears...recent performance makes it that much more likely.
  5. I'll take vanland...
  6. The f*** have I gotten myself into? I have a lot of inside jokes to catch up on I guess.
  7. I just really wanted to beat him. I guess all in all though, the difference between Chen and Guthrie is pretty minimal.
  8. Game 27 Reyes (3pts) -saskjayfan,baseballsss, wilko Melky (2pts) - JaysAllMighty, G-Snarls, flafson, Glock Bautista (1pt) - Jonn, Orgfiller,Frenchsoup Edwin (1pt) - Dylan, JFaS, fatcowxlive Navarro (4pts) - jaysguy34 Francisco (2pts) - Chappy, Angrioter, King Rasmus (2pts) - o2cui2i, Spanky99, Deadpool, GoldBull Sierra (7pts) - Getz (9pts) - Bench- LetTheBallFly Streaks Flafson going for 6 in a row!! +4 Deadpool going for 3 in a row! +1
  9. Let the games begin. Starting things off with a pretty weak chirp...not a good sign of things to come there, king.
  10. Velocity is at the top right of the pitch tracker. New format...
  11. Stroman out after 80 pitches. Damn.
  12. I didn't realize how terrible of a season that Billy Butler is having. Holy s***.
  13. Agreed, but I was because GS was comparing his pitch count to 4-5 innings from McG & Mor
  14. Strikes out the side in the 5th... 5IP 0H 1BB 9K (67 pitches so far)
  15. In their defense, Stroman is only averaging a little over 5IP per start. He's not the most efficient guy either.
  16. Stroman Pitch Count this year: 73 89 94 95 I think that he can handle the workload.
  17. Reyes (3pts) - over500, theblujay Melky (2pts) - G-Snarls, wilko, letsgobjs, Gen.Dissaray, GoldBull Bautista (1pt) - Deadpool, JaysAllMighty, Stangstag Edwin (2pts) - GD, orgfiller, Vdubmvp, Angrioter, flafson, Chappy, Jonn, Dylan, o2cui2i, jaysguy34, declan_44, King, Frenchsoup, Glock Navarro (4pts) - baseballsss, BBBB, JFaS Francisco (2pts) - Lawrie (1pt) - Sammy225, LetTheBallFly Rasmus (2pts) - Jaysblue Getz (8pts) -bowld Bench (8pts) - Jays_Fever Streaks - Flafson going for 5 in a row! +3
  18. I've got some research to do on some of the later round guys. Never been in a league this deep before... I assume that we're planning to have the draft after FA, right?
  19. I suppose that the other factor in the equation is job security. While the patient, drawn out approach is probably more sustainable, unless you can pitch your idea well enough, it's more likely to get you fired. I think that AA was under the gun from an impatient Beeston/Rogers to put a winning product on the field, and at the time, he did what he could to make his boss happy...I don't think it has much to do with Beesten needing a bitch to boss around though...
  20. I think that this goes to show that (obviously) sustainable winning will lead to increased ticket sales and revenue. The problem is that rather than try to build a strong farm to develop a core of players, Rogers decided to pull the trigger and try for a 1-3 year window. To me, it looks like it'll be a rebuild in '16 or '17 that will drive the fans away again.
