  1. Made of glass. Pretty much done for the season.
  2. If the Blue Jays were smart they wouldn't sign him anywhere north of 5 million on a two year deal which he obviously will get more than that. Declining velocity, strikeouts and groundballs for a pitcher is terrible news for future performance.
  3. Well you could say that for every backup catcher. Isn't he a decent runner as well?
  4. Apparently he is a really good framer and has a great arm (although I don't know about anymore since TJS). If the framing is as good as reported he could be better than Eric Kratz which as we all know is worth a lot of value. I think he will be a good backup catcher.
  5. I agree. The curveball is a great pitch but the velocity difference between his fastball is around 15mph which can let hitters lay off. An improved changeup will help as well as the only ones he's thrown looked pretty bad.
  6. That was making a contribution at the Major league level. You would have to knock it down further if you are expecting a major league starter. What are the odds that a top 100 pitching prospect makes an impact in the MLB? I know theres been a few studies on it.
  7. I think you expect Stroman and one of Norris/Sanchez to pan out. Then I'd say 55% chance Hoffman turns into something, 40% Osuna, 20% Castro and 15% for Smoral.
  8. Apparently AJ Jiminez is having some elbow issues according to Davidi. Anyone know anything about this? I was looking forward to seeing him in September.
  9. And that is why you don't rush a guy back without even playing a week's worth or rehab games. Seems to me he wasn't in game shape.
  10. I think best case scenario he turns into a Sean Nolin. Even if all goes right I still can't see him being successful in Toronto as a soft tossing flyball pitcher at RC. It would be nice for him to keep putting up numbers so we could trade him.
  11. I don't see Graveman or Boyd getting that consideration at all. Sure they are putting up good numbers but I doubt they are even in the Jays top 20. Out of all of the old polished pitchers I would think Taylor Cole is the most regarded.
  12. Does Franciso get sent down when Lind comes back? They seem to not be using him at 3rd anymore and is playing the role Lind would play.
  13. Yeah if I were the Jays that wouldn't be my final offer. Id trade Sanchez and Norris and maybe a couple other lesser prospects for Russel and #75-150 prospect.
  14. The Reddit link suggests that steroids are very big in Cuba. Does anyone think Puig or Cespedes gets named in the report? I would not doubt them to be on roids considering just how massive they are.
  15. I could see Byrd being named. Wasn't Gio named before, but not suspended?
  16. This has some great information about the scandal as a whole.
  17. Adisson Russel for Sanchez, Nolin and Lugo? Cubs still probably wouldn't do that.
  18. Or use some of those pitching prospects to acquire some young position players. I feel like the Cubs would be a good match but they seem to not want to trade for pitching prospects. My dream scenario is to sign McCarthy in the off season for something like 2 years and 20 or so million and trade Buehrle for a couple prospects. Doing that you could save at least 8 million and the performance might even be better.
  19. I just hope our pitchers can stay healthy. With the amount of talent there could easily be 4 or 5 pitching top 100 prospects by next year.
  20. He's not a guy that you want to trade. His value to other teams is no where near his value to the Blue Jays. A guy who is 19 coming back from TJS is not your usual trade candidate.
  21. Another guy who has taken a huge step back is DJ Davis. He looked like he could turn into something but now looks like a complete bust. The best part about his game is speed and he is terrible at stealing bases. I'll take a big step back from a guy who wasn't likely to make it anyway and have a ton of SS guys progress.
  22. Exactly. He struck out a decent number of batters and limited the walks and flyballs. Very good outing.
  23. Only bad thing is the 2 HR. Not very often you strand zero runners on the bases. His xFIP would be very good lol.
  24. Why bring in Loup at this point? Wasting him when the game is over. Bring in jenkins to mop it up. Im a huge Gibby fan but this was terrible pen management.
