Well didn't they have 9 episodes last year including playoffs? Its been 1/8th of the season so far and they have to do tons of editing once they film. I think they would have one come out shortly.

Why not let Martin catch him? I have a hard time believing someone as athletic and talented behind the plate couldn't do it. Vasquez for Boston caught their knuckleballer pretty well last year.

It won't though. We haven't gotten to the point where there is a stat that takes pitcher's performances that adjusts for catcher's abilities. I think Fangraphs is close though and even when it comes out there will be a lot of people weary how accurate it is. -
Id say Shields isn't a clear upgrade on Stroman at all. I'd rather have Stroman next season than Shields.

They are also closer to the clubhouse and probably have a good idea what is going on in the clubhouse. They respect the privacy of the players and coaches and I'm sure they never speak badly about a player's character while he is still playing for the Jays because it makes their job much harder. No one is going to want to do a story with a guy who is calling out someone on the team for bad character.

Really surprising to see the Raps as 4 point favs tonight. Memphis looks really good. Edit: 5 players on Memphis including Tony Allen have the flu and there is a "slim" chance they play tonight. Even then though the Raps were still 2 point favs when vegas came out with the lines.

I honestly don't see what the big problem is. If he keeps to himself goes out and does his job while not being friends with anyone on the roster that is fine. If he questions the manager's decisions and/or teammates, then there is a problem. I mean Roy Halladay kind of had that same personality. I think of any of the players on your roster are going to have that type of personality a SP is probably the one you can get away with it. Im sure there are a lot of great pitchers in MLB who are kind of the same.

This has been a great week for me. -Leafs get blown out 2 games in a row, one by an AHL team - Habs lose -Jays sign Martin ,the one player that makes this team so much better (never happens) -Raptors are 1st in conference (I'll enjoy it while I can) Now bookmark this post when the Jays and Raptors fold meanwhile the Habs and Leafs team up together and win the Stanley Cup.

If my job is on the line no matter what circumstance I am not giving a months worth of ABs to Goins. If a guy who is supposed to be good has a bad season, so be it, but I am not letting Ryan f***ing Goins be my starting 2B on opening day. You don't sign Russ Martin for 80 million to let a replacement player ruin 2nd base. -

Don't see him as a fit with the Jays. Toronto just acquired Travis and they sounds like they have a similar skillset. Not to mention they would have to blow their pool which limits their ability to sign IFA for the next signing period. -

You want to rely on Izturis? The guy who was the worst position player in the MLB in 2013 and then blew out his knee in 2014, all the while getting older in the process... If this guy provides positive value at all I would be surprised.. I honestly think they should just eat the 3 million and get a better bench player. I don't even think Izturis is capable of playing 2nd let alone SS.
