This makes Rogers sound even more stupid. Don't give money to the team because the CEO doesn't understand anything about sports. Team had a chance to win last year but doesn't spend because the CEO was "transitioning". I don't know if if that makes Rogers the idiot or Beeston for failing him to convince him to spend. -

I'm sure AA has inquired to the Reds as he does almost anyone rumoured to be available. I think the price will be too high, though.

Molina is garbage. Much better guys to target for backup catcher. He is brutal at anything offence related and sucks at blocking pitches. He is going to be even worse than last year.

Why do we still have Tolleson on our 40 man? Much better to DFA him and get someone decent in Rule 5 draft. Can't see Tolleson even getting playing time this year.

I wouldn't want him. He's so old and is abysmal at everything besides framing. Hits like a pitcher. AJ Jimenez would be better as a backup I would hope.

Seems like a decent bullpen guy at least. Fastball-cureveball since he doesn't use his change anyways. -
Not really when you think about their offence. They get to the line a lot which will bring the assists down. They also run a lot of post ups for Demar and high screens for Kyle.

Well if they were to only make one "big move" then Martin was the guy to do it. They don't have to go nuts on Free agents for me to be happy. Acquire a decent LF and get a short term 2B who is better than Izturis and I will be happy. Bullpen seems like a thing AA can build without having to use tons of money.

Its because players are taxed for where they are. Pretty sure if the team plays 3 games in LA then players get taxed on California rates for those 3 days. Only about half the season is played in Toronto so they only get taxed for that time spent there.

On right now. One of the more interesting things so far is Castro coming to Spring Training. Edit: AA also says thinks Martin can catch Dickey and is athletic enough to handle the knuckleball and after reps should be able to do it.
