  1. Wow that was such an athletic play by Ross. Ball was passed away from the rim and he went back and got it.
  2. This is entertaining at least.
  3. I would say so. Biggest reason the team is losing though is the non-calls. I mean Lowry just got hacked on that last second attempt and no call. I don't believe for a second one of the best teams at getting to the line has only 2 FT attempts by coincidence.
  4. Dude its the first f***in half. You sounds like you are going jump off a bridge because the raps are down a few in the first half. Look at the queefs tonight. Theyre losing to the 76ers of the NHL.
  5. Ever thought of maybe he doesn't have the stamina to play 35 min/night? The guy he is pretty heavy and doesn't seem in the best shape..
  6. I think hes in there cuz they don't want to give too many mins to Amir.
  7. Well it sure as hell hasn't been Vasquez or Handsborough lol.
  8. Holy s*** these Refs are bad. They aren't calling any fouls at all. Reminds me of the Ted Donahue story of how they would bet money on who could go the longest without calling fouls. Would not be surprised if these guys have a bet on this game between themselves.
  9. The thing that worries me with him is that he seems to have a really poor basketball IQ. Its like the opposite of Lowry. The jumping out on pumpfakes 15 feet outside the basket is an example of this. I think he can become an above average player because his tools are so good but I am not so sure he gets to All Star level because of his basketball IQ. I think he could drop 10 pounds and be more effective as well. I have this feeling he is still an alcoholic and thats put some bad weight on him.
  10. Utah has their 4th game in 5 nights and the Raps should come out and lay a beating on them after a home loss last game. Vegas has them as 10.5 point favourites. Utah is pretty bad defensively so I expect the Raptors to put up a lot of points. Can't believe how many people get so negative about one loss. I think everyone will be back drinking the Kool-Aid after this game.
  11. Wilner is only saying this because the Jays are linked to Martin. I actually called into Wilner's show last year and mentioned Martin specifically as a target because of pitch framing and Wilner said Navarro was doing a great great job behind the plate and he didn't think the Jays would need to make a change. Also said Martin isn't good offensively. Wilner just says what is convenient at the time for the Jays and will always say the Jays made a good move, even if it was not a good one.
  12. Its only been 9 games and they haven't played much together. While I agree Vasquez has been terrible lets at leasst give it 25 games to see how it is working with him and Lou on the floor together.
  13. Some pretty juicy stuff in this story about Boras trying to cover up Manny's drug test in 09. http://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/630575
  14. Good thing I didn't make a thread.
  15. I was thinking about it but it hasn't been confirmed or anything. Apparently that person is the person that broke Valencia coming to Toronto.
  16. Apparently Kendrick or Utley blocked a trade to Toronto?
  17. NBATV is re-airing the game with the TNT feed right now.
  18. I don't think Lawrie could handle SS. His glove is below average and it would get exposed at SS. Also, while his arm is great I'm not sure how it would fare throwing from deep in the hole. Theres also the injury risk too. I think you just keep him where he has been successful at 3rd.
  19. Im just saying the facts which with Jonas on the floor the team gave up the more points than any single player on the team. I think the reason they had Patterson on the floor was because they wanted to space the floor on offence so Noah couldn't just clog the lane. I'm not saying it was the right move but you can't blame a coach for every single thing that doesn't go right in the game. Personally, I would like to see JV on the floor a bit more because I think his development is very important and if this team is going to get to the next level JV is going to have to take a big step forward so you might have to play through some of his growing pains. Demar didn't really shoot too many long 2s. A lot of the shots he missed were open 15 footers or layups around the rim and I think he could of gotten a couple more calls which would of made his line look better. He had a bad game but Butler is a great defender so it was a tough matchup to begin with. If you look at Rose's stats he had a pretty bad game as well but no was is screaming about his performance on the floor. I think with every game you could say if "x" and "x" happened we would of been right there. Give Toronto a ton of credit for battling back but Chicago should of won this game and won it by more than 7 points. Best thing is that this one game and there will be a lot more "statement" games that mean just as much as this one.
  20. For the people sucking Jonas's dick. He couldn't contain anyone he was guarding. Pau abused him more than Butler abused Derozan. JV gave up 7 FG on only 9 attempts and the team's defence was worse with him on the floor than anyone else last night. Also lets hold up on the Derozan hate..He had a terrible game no doubt but lets stop with the "we should trade him" after 9 f***in regular season games. As soon as the Raptors get good and have some hype everyone turns into armchair coach and GM. Maybe Bebe isn't playing because he isn't ready to play in the NBA? His scouting report said he constantly gets lost on the defensive end. I don't know about you guys but I don't want a guy playing min in a big game who doesn't understand defensive rotations. Masai has said it best. Its been 9 games. This team is a young team and is going to make mistakes and go through growing pains, just the nature of the business.
  21. Alright..Alright..you win.
  22. Mike Hoffman 6 goals in 5 games.
  23. Drew probably sees this too. If no one else wants him this could happen but seems like he could get a better job somewhere else.
  24. JJ gets backed off by like 5 feet when he is outside the 3 point line..Demar not so much.
  25. Yup. Hopefully the team can grow from this. Not like this team is going to win every game, anyways.
