    Guessing Smoral is in dunedin so the jays can keep their eye on him a little more closely since that is where the majority of the coaches are as well as facilities.

    Meant it would be nice to have a LH hitter in between to balance it out. Adam Lind could be a trade candidate? Oh wait...

    They probably have a few extra runs from the Jays being up 5-0 only for the other team to put in a s*** lefty and our hitters score another 5+ runs which is why the run differential is a lot higher. But I'm sure this is the case for most teams... Jays really need another LH bat though. Seems like in close games other teams will have a difficult ROOGY cruise through JD-JB-EE-RM.

    Maybe Alford is taking a lot of hittable pitches? Could be a reason for the low power, high OBP. Taking a lot of 2-0, 3-1 pitches in order to work the count? I'm obviously just guessing though.

    In terms of value to a team I would agree but I'm saying theres GMs out there who would give up more to get Edwin because of the offence he provides. Power hitters seem to get paid more than they are worth.

    I remember when there was debate among who the best prospect was of him, Trout and Harper. Funny looking back on it.

    I think Edwin and bautista would have more value. Maybe not Bautista if he can't play RF but those guys seem to have more value because of how much power and HR they have hit. Not saying its right but thats just the way I see their value around the league.

    If Gomez cost Pompey + Castro I make that trade everyday a week. Are people forgetting just how good Gomez was the last 2 years? Thats a couplr wins added this year and next year at least. I feel the Brewers could get a better package though. Gomez or someone else, the Jays need to acquire another OF for this year. And hopefully soon.

    Are there any reports on SRF this season? He's still striking a ton of guys out but also walking nearly a batter per inning. Wondering if there is anything specific he is working on.

    I remember seeing someone earlier in the year say he is taking a lot of pitches (some of then strikes he should be swinging at) just to work the count. My guess is there is a little truth to that but you obviously don't know the whole story.

    They should DL him now with the off days and Interleague series coming up. Just get it right once and for all so Bautista isn't DHing for the next 2 months because that is where we are headed.

    Whats our record after the 7th inning down 1 run? Team looks like they have zero confidence and just can never score runs. Now if they are up a run or 2 they always score another 5+ in the 8th.
