  1. He references triple slash lines in 10 inning samples. I find he's at his worst when he tries to be an analyst. He isn't that bad of a play by play guy but as soon as he talks about his opinion on players I want to rip my hair out.
  2. I think both make the team and Estrada goes on DL. Once Estrada comes back they will try to sneak Leon through waivers.
  3. Good test for Biagini at least.
  4. I think that works against Osuna tbh. If he gets saves this season his salary in arb. will be much higher.
  5. Apparently Osuna is the favourite to be named for the closing job?
  6. I thought he was horrible when I first saw him (bad shot selection big part of it) but really like what I've seen of late. He seems to be a really hard worker so I think he can improve even more. Steal for a 2nd rounder.
  7. Like what they are doing. No need for Stroman or any of the starters not pitching to fly to Montreal and back in 2 days right before their starts.
  8. No need for name calling. I like Chavez as the pitcher and still do. I just think you could have signed a guy like Petit, Cahill or Blanton for 4-6 Million instead of losing Hendriks to pay Chavez 4 million for the same role. Those guys would have provided depth just like Chavez will this season and you could have kept Hendriks has 3 more years of control after this year.
  9. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/5811-Jays-acquire-Jesse-Chavez?highlight=hendriks+trade You can read it if you want lol
  10. I remember people ripping on me for saying I hated the trade and it would turn out bad. Yet here we are...
  11. Have to think they will go with a second LHP. I'm not sure Delabar even gets picked off waivers for 800k.
  12. He was a rule 5 pick... And no he isn't.
  13. Biagini over Delabar and Ceciliani (maybe Lake) over Carrera
  14. I think I'd rather just go with Venditte. If Choate can't face any RHH its almost a waste of a roster spot. Girado is decent depth in the minors and Loup by the sound of it shouldn't be out too long.
  15. Yeah I'm not a fan of him hitting 8th. He's probably the 4th best hitter vs RHP in that lineup (EE excluded).
  16. That never seemed to be considered. What does being young have to do with being easier to stretch out?
  17. Man I wish this game was televised. Stroman pitching and the Jays full lineup save Edwin. f***in SN
  18. Yeah I paid already. It was $110 USD so 150 CAD.
  19. You can manage it like they did Hutch in 2014. Give him an extra day of rest here and there if he looks fatigued. If Sanchez is pitching like a number 3 starter in August during a pennant race and isn't showing signs of slowing down they aren't just going to throw him in the pen.
  20. If the FO believed in the workload inning limits theory Stroman would be on one as well wouldn't you think? I just think Gibby was dumbing it down in the press conference I would say him making 30 starts is very unlikely as well but I don't see that impacting the decision to start him in the rotation. If Sanchez goes to the bullpen you lose him as a starting option as well? So your "8 starters" go to 7 just like it would if Floyd was starting.
  21. Apparently Chavez will be used at the back of the bullpen. Going to be tough to make spot starts if he is being used as a short reliever.
  22. Like you just said you don't know what is going to happen over the entire season, so why would you not bring your best team north for April? Trying to guess who will make starts in August seems like a useless exercise right now. If Sanchez excels and stays healthy he may just start the entire season. Personally, I don't think the FO will make inning limits a thing.
  23. Last year in A ball Zimmer 11% BB 23% K rate .185 ISO Alford 11% BB 19.2% K rate .142 ISO This is coming from a Zimmer owner in Fantasy too. Zimmer is better but not by much, certainly not by 50 spots.
  24. A player's performance level doesn't always remain static. There is a good chance Sanchez has improved since last year and that Floyd is a really good reliever. In terms of long term outlook this move makes a ton of sense as well since the Jays control Sanchez for 5 years. Its about balancing short term/long term and if Sanchez shows he can be a mid rotational starter that is worth tens of millions of dollars more than him as a reliever. Floyd is a FA next year. And if Sanchez fails as a starter you can always throw him back in the pen and say it didn't work but at least we tried.
  25. You ask why? To give the team the best chance to win. The org. felt the team is better with Sanchez in the rotation and Floyd in the pen than Floyd starting and Sanchez in AAA.
