So 3-4 weeks with a rehab assignment at the end sounds like best case scenario. f***, this all could have been avoided if they took him out earlier in the game which makes it the most frustrating, even if the injury could have happened any time.
Maybe if there was a set schedule but with the way Gibbons managers I'm not so sure. We've seen relievers like Osuna, Floyd and Biagini all battle fatigue out of the pen this year and the way Sanchez will be used I don't see how it will be any different.
The Blue Jays should have a lot more money to spend next offseason if they stay in the race all year. Sell out against the Phillies on a Tuesday and they got 35K last night. Add in the face they are doing dynamic pricing and thats a few extra 10s of millions in revenue compared to last season.
TV ratings have been really strong as well.
While we are on the topic of extensions, what would you do with Saunders? Take the pick and run or try to sign him to a 2 or 3 year deal to be LF/DH? He's a really good LH bat which the Blue Jays don't have at all next year.
So has Aaron Sanchez and countless other Blue Jays players...
Obviously its better if they don't do it but once your addicted they're worse off trying to stop during the season.
