Vlad not being able to speak english is the biggest obstacle to him being a coach for an org. Guys who have made that much money in their careers typically don't want to coach anyways.
Chavez or Floyd could probably go 3 innings for a start. Leblanc gives you what 5 innings if he doesn't get pulled before then?
Leblanc isn't good so what difference does it make..
lol come on dude...
Rich Hill strikes out way more guys and gets more groundballs while doing it at the big league level. Leblanc's strikeout and walk numbers aren't much different than his entire MILB career.
Would rather Travis just hit leadoff over Carerra then bump everyone down.
Corbin is pretty good but he has huge platoon splits so hopefully the big RH bats come through.
Yeah I agree. The difference in going from Smoak to Edwin isn't really much anyways. Having an average OF out there is a pretty big upgrade over Bautista with the way his arm is now.
Does that include the year he is already under contract? I'm sure the Blue Jays explored signing him to a long term contract last offseason so I doubt they change their mind this year when the cost surely went up and he is a year older.
Although maybe Rogers increases the budget by a large margin with all of the success they have had this year. In that scenario I could see the Jays trying to sign him long term.
Stroman probably won't even see that. I think he's backed away from the pitching to contact stuff. He hasn't said it in a while and he's dropped the 2 seam usage.
Pretty scary that JD is even better than last year. Walking more, striking out less and hitting for more power. He's hitting way fewer ground balls for more line drives and flyballs. All the while playing excellent defense.
Outside of Trout he's easily been the best player in baseball the last 4 years.
