    Goins also can't hit... Having a backup 1st baseman who can't hit is a waste of a roster spot. The only other way Goins gets into the game is if Tulo is taken out for a PR and Barney goes into play defence. Then the game would need to go to extras and you would have Barney being Pinch hit for.

    This was my first year for season tickets for Jays and I actually did quite well. You do take a loss on the non summer weeknight games but the weekend games seem to more than make up for it.

    I'd agree to have Barney in. But the players have to show their "warrior mentality".

    You hope they lose 100 games because they changed their flexpacks? Great fan you are... Basically you are complaining because you can't resell your tickets for as high a mark up as before, which is likely why they changed the structure of it.

    They'll probably trade for someone then. Its not like the Jays are going to go into next year with Upton and Pompey starting full time.. Upton will be in a platoon and another OF will be brought in.

    Not really though. You said Pearce who would be fine depending on how the rest of the team looks. They need some LH bats though as there too right handed as it stands now.

    I wouldn't offer it to him. I'd try to sign him back though depending if Bautista walks. He'd be fine as an OF/DH LH bat. Maybe 1/10 or 2/18.

    Really unorthodax but I'd have Estrada/Happ piggyback with Stroman. This game is twice as important as any of those Red Sox games.

    Jays hold the tiebreaker against the Os so its really like the BlueJays are 2 Games ahead. A win tomorrow pretty much seals it for the Jays.

    Finally big market teams have learned its better to throw money at smart executives than aging players. I think we are getting to the point where its really tough for small market teams to be able to compete though. Pretty big competitive inbalance.
