    What seats are you getting? I put down a deposit for 16 seats even though there is only 4-6 of us going. Figured I could sell the rest with how many other people will be going, while guaranteeing my group good seats.

    Its funny how people call him a d-bag but he has never had a run in with any of his teammates or coaches. I mean Donaldson complains to umpires and acts pretty selfish, even had the thing with Gibbons, yet no one says anything. Its sad but I think some of it has to do with him being Dominican (not around here but the casual fan base).

    I'd go 3/25. I don't think he signs for less than 20 million.

    My guess (complete speculation) is Joe Sheehan and the analytics team thinks he will break out based on batted balls. I do worry though since Sheehan was the one behind Justin Smoak breaking out(which never happened and he looks bad).

    Raps have an automatic loss on Wednesday vs GS with 2nd half of a B2B with Clevland meanwhile GS has 2 full days of rest. Kind of a dower since I want to see GS but it'll be a blowout.

    Why not just sign Saunders instead of trading Bruce? They both are terrible in the OF but Saunders is the better hitter and you won't have to give anything up.

    Bebe has outplayed him. Offering some nice rim protection and on offence he's actually been really good with his screens and passing.

    If someone went up to you and said you were not good at your job, wouldn't you try to prove them wrong by working harder?

    I don't get why people think he's so good defensively. -16 DRS in his career and UZR simply has him as average.

    Keith Law said he would give Bautista 2 years at 8 million per year. Also said Devon Travis was a non-prospect when he got traded. Keith Law is one of the most annoying people in baseball.

    Stroman lives in Tampa so he might just be working out there this offseason. I know Donaldson and Martin are there as well. Shapiro has mentioned how he wants the Dunedin facility to be a 365 day facility where players train there year round and that way can monitor players progress. Haven't seen anything about Sanchez. I kind of wonder if him and Stroman had a falling out this year. You never hear about them being together anymore and even the broadcasts stopped that narrative halfway through the year about them pushing each other

    People seem to reading too much into his numbers with the Astros this year. It's a tiny sample, the guy just moved to the US and probably is adjusting to the culture of everything.

    They probably call the commissioner's office while still on the phone with the other team. I think they'd eat half the contract just to move him. Unlike other clubs this FO isn't concerned with the public's image of them getting rid of a player they just signed if it makes the team better.

    I think Bautista will be one of the biggest under value signings this year, like Ben Zobrist was last year.

    You don't really need to be young or athletic to play 1B or DH. Also they signed Gurriel....

    I don't think anyone believes they would stop after Pearce.. They still likely acquire 2 more OFs and a backup C + pen pieces.

    He's shooting less 3s and more mid range shots. Shooting 15-20% better on those mid range shots which won't continue.

    Oh I know its not sustainable. Even Curry isn't this good from mid-range. If he can start hitting the 3 at even 32% I'd like him a lot more, I still hate the shots he's taking, just they're going in. Once fatigue sets in (he's playing a ton of minutes) I expect the numbers to go down to his career average. I think he can be a poor man's Kobe, which I'm fine with. We have him for his 27-32 years so he shouldn't drop off during his contract.

    Morales could play 1st, in a real emergency you could throw Martin there and have the backup catcher behind the plate. Smoak just doesn't do anything well. Even before he signed the extension he's been a league average bat. Its obvious he can't hit offspeed pitches and hasn't made the adjustment. And I can't stand how overrated he is defensively.

    They should just release Smoak. A backup 1st baseman is just a waste of a roster spot.

    Doubt it. I wouldn't trust Pearce defensively at 2nd for more than a few emergency games.

    I brought up Izturis saying it would a great deal if he could have a career like that. Didn't mean to compare their playing style.
