  1. Astros K a lot, Hutch needs less fastballs and more offspeed out of the zone.
  2. Seriously? The Angels are gonna get swept in Balty, brutal series for them...and essentially us.
  3. His bro did plus he might have been late to the park.
  4. I'm surprised that minute maid is still in business, does anyone even drink that stuff?
  5. Masai is the man! I wish he was the Jays GM too. Ironically though he's been of the most active GM's over the past 2-3yrs, he probably would've got that Price deal done today..
  6. Pretty much sums it up today, just nauseating trying to process what TB gave Price away for while Rogers were bean counting.
  7. Any way you slice it, passing up on David Price because of the financial obligations hurts bad. Terminator has repeatedly stated it today, sell Price in the offseason if you don't want to take on the salary and then you recoup some assets. Assets that wouldn't even be that much because did you see what TB got!?! I'm nauseous...
  8. I'm not gonna lie, I got a little excited reading that.
  9. Not necessarily, there's a buzz in the city and everybody's talking about the Jays right now so there's a heightened awareness of the deadline situation. There's a hunger with the fans & media to make a move, if no move is made and we can't get over the hump against the contenders down the stretch (Bal, Det, Sea, NY) along with facing a tough Tampa team people will lament on this moment and how a tightwad Rogers dropped the ball.
  10. It's a tighter race than that, losing 5 in a row might do it and our schedule is unbelievably difficult after this Houston series. Like I said clubhouse morale, fan & city excitement also come with the talent you're receiving and sometimes you can't account for those intangibles. Sometimes it's just all about making the right move at the right time..
  11. I certainly don't want them to trade Stro, but I do want them to seize this limited opportunity and make a move. What I don't want them to do is rebuild again and have to wait another 5+ years to hopefully have a good young pitching core hitting their prime and then praying we stumble into a couple younger versions of Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion.
  12. Personally I commend them for making the move last year (whether those funds were mismanaged or not is a whole other story of course). Coming into this offseason as a business conglomerate I really couldn't fault them for being gun shy about spending more money but after this team has put themselves in a position to make a serious run and become the team they had envisioned, imo it's a poor decision to continue to be tight fisted in the face of this post season opportunity. I think it's a brutal PR move and also a poor business decision if the unthinkable happens and we tailspin out of the wildcard race, they potentially would've cost themselves a ton of playoff revenue and merchandise sales going into next season. All on top of the morale boost it would give that clubhouse, the fanbase and the city..
