  1. No surprise here http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-to-select-contract-of-infielder-johnson/
  2. Yeah, 6 hits in two innings. He's pitching like a true ace tonight!
  3. I may as well be the first to bump this........... Such joy in watching him implode in pinstripes
  4. I have no problem trading prospects. Trade em for the right pieces and count me in! But to me thinking about someone like Drew who has been absolutely pathetic this year would be a pointless exercise. We don't have the time to wait for him to try to turn it around.
  5. This is not the time to bring in a struggling player. We need impact moves.
  6. BAN THIS GUY!!!!! Just kidding.
  7. So to clarify, you do or do not want to see the video of my butt cheeks?
  8. I hate being happy when a player gets injured. But I'm happy.
  9. That's being reported by a kid on twitter. Not from any reliable source. It's about the same as me filming my butt-cheeks flapping and using a voiceover while making up random MLB trade rumours and posting it on youtube. Except I would likely end up gaining more credibility.
  10. Well actually they do.......
  11. I find this all somewhat fascinating. I already laugh at myself for spending as much time as I do on this site. I can't imagine how I would feel about life if I constantly was kicked off only to try to sign up again multiple times and talk to myself with my various logins. I know a lot of people on here are younger with a lot more time to spare, but still......seems sad
  12. That kid was with baseball america?
  13. A thread about the JAys signing Frank Francisco was started here a couple days ago for the exact same reason. Check your sources people!!
  14. So it's just one guy/troll?
  15. Yes one thing I've learned about baseball is that the team that looks the best always wins the world series. Like the Tigers the past few years.
  16. As a fairly new member one thing I've noticed is constant talk about people being banned and then accusations of people creating multiple accounts or new accounts after being banned. What's the story behind this? Why do people get banned and then what's the point of signing up again multiple times? I'm 34 so I'm basically a dinosaur at this whole inter-ma-net thing so maybe I'm not up what happens on message boards.
  17. Even though I don't agree with you, I did laugh at this.
  18. You're wrong I'm right. Not the first time. Stamped it no erasies.
  19. Well said. The 'worried about his health' argument goes out the window based on contract time left and his current ability to play as well. It's a low downside move if we're not able to pick up a higher impact guy
  20. People are acting like we're picking up someone who has years left on his contract. We aren't committed to him past this year and he has been healthy enough to play the majority of games. We're all aware of his health issues which is why he could come relatively cheap. And not only is he currently better than many players we've fielded this year based on his weak stats to date but he also has shown he has the potential to produce at a much higher level. The move might not be a slam-dunk but it's certainly better than doing nothing.
  21. Will depend on who we're up against and what SD's preference is in terms of position. Yankees will be in the mix I'm sure.
  22. Based on the stats I see it's average maybe a hair better. But with his health concerns I would think that is questionable. The guy has shown to have a great bat in the past, so this could be a low-cost acquisition in terms of what we give up with some upside potential. Maybe the move to Rogers Center is good for him and I"m sure as a free agent he'll be motivated to have a strong second half.
  23. Agree on all fronts. As much as it's easy to brush off culture, it's an important non-tangible. And the Jays certainly appear to struggle on that front. Our worst case scenario is we don't make any moves and Baltimore does (as they did in the offseason and last trade deadline).
