  1. What's the funny part? That two starters that are 5'9 or less have 30 career starts since 1960?
  2. Ouch. Astros broadcasting crew taking a shot at the Big O and Expos fans.
  3. MLB.TV has a better package that works out to less a month and a much crisper picture with better options (i.e. syncing the radio broadcast with the video so you don't have to listen to Buck Martinez). You'll need unlimited bandwidth though if you streaming a lot. V-Media offers that.
  4. I used to have a Frank Viola poster mounted on a foam board in my bedroom in the 80s!
  5. Stroman is built for relief work. Quit screwing around and sign Santana.
  6. This is one of the players the Jays should have traded asked for from the Angels years ago when they had the opportunity to unload Vernon Wells before giving him that ridiculous $100 MM deal. His stats aren't that good in the limited sample in any of the AL East parks. Still better than any internal options. On a one-year deal I'm OK with it.
  7. One knee or leg injury and he becomes just another guy with the downgraded speed.
  8. And LaRussa won a WS without Rasmus.
  9. Maybe some article that was linked up with MLB Trade Rumors from sometime last year. I can't quite recall.
  10. I'd hire someone like Tony LaRussa as a consultant. He obviously has an eye for talent or squeezing as much talent out of a player as possible. He could recommend the sort of coaches this club could use at the minor or even major league level. None of the Jays coaches have accomplished anything anywhere and they could benefit from one of the the best managers in MLB history. LaRussa could help with the draft. So many areas. Everything starts and begins with the proper brain trust. If you don't have that, the organization is nothing but a deck of cards (which this joke of an organization is).
  11. I heard this guy's bat is not worth having. Think Hech.
  12. All they do is subcontract from Rogers and Bell. They've been around since the summer last year and like I've said, I've had them since October. I stream everything through my Roku 3 in addition to baseball. I hate having to worry about how much bandwidth in the back of my head, so this is the company that works right for me. With tax it works out to 58 or 59 bucks a month for 45 mbps with no cap. I don't think that is available in all areas though. A friend of mine is getting setup for V-Media and in her particular area can only get 20 or 25 mbps for cable internet.
  13. Even better is to use VMedia with their unlimited bandwidth and you can watch as many games as you want. I've had them since October 2013 and no issues to report at all. I bought MLB Premium last year for the first time for Roku and it is fantastic. The true beauty lies in being able to listen to the Jays radio broadcast instead of the idiots on TV and it is synced perfectly. The picture quality is better than MLB Extra Innings which I had in 2012. It's not even comparable. I did the month to month package last year, because I was unsure how much bandwidth I was going to blow through and you go through a lot. Rogers is obviously not the service to use for your Internet for this. VMedia and their unlimited bandwidth all the way. For a VPN, I also used UNblock-US. Not a bad service. I haven't seen any promotional stuff saying that Mlb.TV is not going to have broadcast restrictions or not. I guess time will tell if that is true.
