  1. Snowflakes, He's not signing with the Jays. And it's "Ohtani".
  2. Same ********. No bullpen. Jays can only score runs on home runs.
  3. I'll trust the guy who figured Yan Gomes could be an all-star catcher instead of the bozo who thought Esmil Rogers was all that because he threw 95. Nice mess you left too Anthopolous. You won't be missed, clown.
  4. He needs to be traded for pitching!
  5. A better manager. Some that doesn't mismanage down the stretch. Sitting Price the last 10 days. The way the rotation was shuffled into the playoffs. Focus a little more on small ball. If the Jays can't hit home runs they don't win. Needs a more balanced approach. Starting pitching and bullpen need to be a priority and not friggin offense. Trading Bautista and/or EE to shore up the rotation. I don't want Anthopolous back either.
  6. He's either lying or is too stupid to know what it really means.
  7. The Chicago Cubs are suppose to win this year if Back To The Future is predictive programming. If that happens I am done with MLB.
  8. I thought he should have made the roster a couple of years ago as a bench player.
  9. That's right. I saw him do it when he hit a double in a game against Texas.
  10. Which players have flashed the 666 and/or "All Seeing Eye" Illuminati hand signs during the course of the regular season and into the playoffs? So far I've noticed: Jose Bautista Josh Donaldson Ryan Goins M. Kawasaki David Price Anyone else?
  11. Lefty only guy .....and right handed long-man. 110 games pitched in 2016.
  12. He should be in the pen too.
  13. Joe Torree being "MLB" is not someone's judgment I'd trust in rulings involving a New York team. Torre called it a "rolling block" and it certainly wasn't that. It appears Torre is seeing what he wants to see in order to appease the New York fans and avoid having Utley playing in New York at least. The only rolling was Utley getting off his back after the collision. If the umpires had a problem with it, they would have thrown him out of the game. These are the best judges of the interpretation of the rules, not what the rule should be (in some people's eyes). There's nothing in the rules that says Utley can't do what he did. Utley appealed and is playing at least for now. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree and we'll see how it plays out.
  14. I did the same thing to myself playing baseball two years ago. it was about five months before I finally felt right. With the sort of treatment/attention that Cecil will get I'm sure he'll be ready for Spring Training.
  15. I don't understand how something within the confines of the rules is "dirty." If it was dirty the umpires would have thrown him out of the game. You had six of them there and they didn't do that.
  16. Nothing wrong with Utley's slide. Tejada put himself in a bad position by twirling like some dancing queen and couldn't get out of the way of Utley. Utley doesn't have to touch the base in order to do that play, but was close enough to the bag where he could touch it. Torre calling Utley's collision a rolling block is not accurate at all. A stink is only being made because a player was hurt over it. Where was the uprise when Kang was taken out by Coglan in September? New Yawk gonna New Yawk. All those other examples are showing players that are nowhere near the base. Totally different.
  17. I am sure that first caller is from Cambridge and not from Rogers head office.
  18. It will be even more laughable listening to Wilner defending Gibbon's managing after the game. I wonder if they told him in advance what they may do so he can study his response script.
  19. No. Not trading for another lefty for the pen did. The same day that the Jays picked up Cliff Pennington from the D-Backs, the Astros acquired Oliver Perez from them as well. Why didn't the Jays trade for the two of them? Made no sense. Can't count on Loup this year. I guess David Price is the new lefty in the pen!
  20. What's Zaun's ID on this board? One of my friends saw him at a strip club after a Jays game in Toronto once.
