  1. More idiotic sliding. f***ing ridiculous.
  2. I still hate bad baseball and this team is full of s*** players.
  3. Valencia slid like an idiot, aiming his foot to the inside part of the bag instead of the outside. It was so close that they had to waste a challenge on a fundamentally bad play. You'd think a professional player would know how to do something as basic as slide. This team is full of players that can't do the basics. That's what I'm f***ing talking about.
  4. Dont' these dolts know how to slide? He should have been sliding towards the outside of the bag, not the inside. A hook slide would have been the best. What a waste of a call. They will need it later.
  5. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm talking to a bunch of "Brandon Morrow is the best Jays pitcher" crowd from a couple of years ago. Boy did I laugh when people were outing themselves with that.
  6. True. It's still a lot to pony up for a player that is not that much of a known quantity. I guess if AA and Rogers felt like rolling the dice, they'd make a top end offer. I don't know if I'd trust the Jays management to make the right offer though. I mean they were suppose to have the next Jeter from Cuba and wound up with Hech.
  7. You're right. Reyes is an idiot. From his s*** slide last year that put him out of action in KC to sliding headfirst at home and being a bitch about it. Don't even get me started about sitting out to win a batting title with the Mets.
  8. So does his $90 MM rumored contract he's potentially seeking.
  9. Some of us are eating here.
  10. He's not the best pitcher in the organization. That's Norris.
  11. I know it's not popular, but I'd like to see Stroman as the closer. It would open a spot for Norris in the rotation, minus a trade. He profiles better as a closer than a starter.
  12. I would take Van Slyke instead, unless the Dodgers were going to pay a bunch of his salary. Maybe they would part with both.
  13. If 500 pound women get you off and you willingly look at them, you are worse off than I am.
  14. Whatever you say Mr. Sabermetric. Have fun living in your fantasy world.
  15. There are always trades that can be made. I do like the idea of the Jays getting Tomas, but I know they'd never spend the type of money rumored it will take to lock him up.
  16. What don't you like? These moves don't mean you have to get rid of your Brett Lawrie poster that you have taped to your ceiling in your bedroom.
  17. Ok? And? There are times when even Joey Bats and E5 can help the team by going the other way. A righty that pulls and gets outs doesn't advance anything. When Bautista goes into his stretches where he tries to swing the bat so hard that you know he's only thinking of home runs, the team doesn't benefit. Players have to do more than hit home runs. Striking out less and putting the ball in play more couldn't hurt either. They're still good players, but I think they could even be doing more with their outs.
  18. Trade Bautista while he is enjoying his first healthy year; he has likely peaked in terms of value. His range is slipping too. Overhaul the outfield. It needs defense and youth. Get rid of Brett Lawrie. He can't stay healthy and has no plate discipline. Trade Reyes or at the very least move him off of SS. Pitching needs bullpen help. Fire the coaching staff. Fire the GM. Fire the president. Rogers sell the team.
  19. I was hoping they would be doing it all of last year and this year. If you look at their opening day lineup, they had more of an NL lineup at least in terms of stealing bases. All that was missing was "small ball". I wish there was some sort of statistic that would measure runners advanced or runners advanced on outs. The evaluation of players would change and maybe strikeouts would go down.
  20. He's not going to accept the qualifying offer. He will want more than a three year deal (two years plus a team option would be a better fit). The outfield needs an overhaul. Melky's range is getting worse every year. Let him walk. If they are going to throw money at a player, let it be someone who can field and not get hurt/busted for PEDs over the last three years.
  21. If the Blue Jays don't hit home runs, they don't win. And small ball is about doing more with the bat other than laying down a bunt. Things like the hit and run, stealing bases, advancing runners on outs. IIRC, the Jays were doing at least some of these things (in addition to getting pitching) when they went on their two big win streaks during the year.
  22. Bautista can't even play RF anymore.
  23. I'm sick of this organization being run like they are poor, when Rogers spent billions on having broadcasting rights to the NHL. On top of it, these *******s put a statue of Ted Rogers outside of the Rogers Centre like they think they have accomplished anything under this ownership group. They talk about all of the Jays players like they are some sort of stars. Bautista is a s***** excuse for a leader. Lawrie will never amount to anything. The roster is littered with players that should be in AAA, not on a team that should be first division (and is marketed as such). Management and the coaching is subpar. I wish Rogers would sell the team and go ruin something else.
  24. Better defense and more than likely a better hitter. He's only 23. He was playing some CF in Cuba. He won't play that in the majors. Jays have to look at outside the box solutions to help the outfield. Hopefully Rasmus isn't brought back. The idea of Melky signed to a long-term isn't very appealing (unless it's a two years and an option type of arrangement, but even still). I can see the Jays moving Bautista either to the infield or to another team.
  25. Since when is a player selected on talent and not signability? Have the Blue Jays taught you nothing?
